Chapter 1111Â
Even Enzo was stunned into silence–he could hardly believe what he’d just heard. His wide eyes swung toward Doug inÂ
disbelief.Â
Sharon, equally taken aback, asked with a voice that trembled between shock and incredulity, “I’m sorry… how much did you just say?”Â
Doug repeated patiently, “Fifty billion.”Â
Sharon blinked, as if she hadn’t heard him right. “Mr. Newman, you’re sure this isn’t some kind of joke?” (1Â
Doug smiled. “If you don’t believe me, we can sign the contract right now.‘Â
Her gaze sharpened. “Aside from the ten percent commission you mentioned, does your employer have any other conditions?”Â
Doug shook his head. “None.”Â
Sharon hesitated, then asked, “Mr. Newman, what’s your employer’s name? Which group does he represent?”Â
Doug’s eyes flickered subtly toward Thomas, though his expression remained calm.Â
“You may address him as… Mr. F.”Â
“Mr. F?” Sharon frowned.Â
“Yes,” Doug replied evenly. “For personal reasons, our employer prefers to keep his identity confidential for now. I hope youÂ
understand.”Â
Sharon almost laughed. This was absurd.Â
A nameless, faceless investor who refused to reveal his identity–was such an offer even credible? He wasn’t talking about investing fifty dollars, but 5 billion.Â
Her instincts screamed caution. What if this so–called investor was a plant–someone sent by Jamie or Lex to sabotage her from within?Â
Sensing her doubt, Doug spoke again, tone steady and reassuring. “Miss McKinzie, please rest assured, there is absolutely no problem with this investment. If you don’t believe me, I can transfer half the amount as a deposit right away.”Â
Sharon stared at him, dumbfounded. “You’re not even going to evaluate the companies first?”Â
“We already have,” Doug replied. “Our employer believes in your ability, Miss McKinzie. He’s confident you’ll create another legend.”Â
Sharon fell silent.Â
To be honest, even she didn’t have that kind of faith in herself.Â
Doug handed her a sleek black folder. “These are the documents pertaining to the investment. Please review them carefully and get back to me when you’ve made your decision.”Â
Sharon nodded, still dazed, and personally escorted him to the elevator. She needed time–to think, to verify, to make sure this wasn’t a trap.Â
If it turned out to be genuine, though, it would solve everything. She wouldn’t need to beg, borrow, or juggle debts anymore.Â
When they reached the building’s lobby, Doug paused and said courteously, “If you have any further requirements, Miss McKinzie, please don’t hesitate to contact me.”Â

“Of course,” Sharon replied.Â
Just as he was about to leave, three familiar figures emerged from the revolving doors.Â
They froze when they saw her.Â
Victoria’s eyes narrowed. “Who is that guy?”Â
Scott replied, “Probably an investor Sharon brought in. I ran into him upstairs earlier–he said he was here to see her about anÂ
investment.”Â
At that, Silas let out a mocking laugh.Â
“Looks like Sharon’s desperate enough to cling to any lifeline. I’ve never heard of investors taking the initiative like that. Did she find herself a scam artist?”Â
He sauntered toward her, his expression gleaming with thinly veiled glee.Â
“Well, well. So this is what you’ve been busy with–hunting for investors? Funny, in all my years at Kalen Group, I’ve never once heard of us needing investors. We’re the ones who fund others, not the other way around. Even when someone does bring in capital, it’s always on equal footing, never from a place of begging.”Â
Sharon didn’t even glance his way. She turned to Doug instead, her tone calm and polite. “Mr. Newman, thank you for your time. I’ll see you soon.”Â
Just as Doug was about to leave, Silas’s grating voice rang out again.Â
