“So this is what its like in high–society circles? All that glamour on the surface–who knew it hid such filth underneath?” 

“You think Victoria plays around like this too, behind closed doors?” 

“Wouldn’t be surprised.” 

“Hey, hey–look! Isn’t the star of the show right over there?” 

“Damn, that face, that body… heh, I wouldn’t mind being one of her ‘projects‘ myself.” 

The crowd erupted in whispers and laughter–some shocked, some curious, some cruelly amused. 

In their social circles, Johanna was a familiar name. Her brother, Jamie, was a powerful figure; her best friend, Victoria, a celebrated socialite. With her striking beauty, Johanna’s fame was on par with Victoria’s. 

Now, standing right beside Victoria, she became the target of every gaze in the room. 

Johanna stared blankly at the giant screen, her face draining of color. Her knees trembled. She could barely stay upright. 

Samantha rushed to steady her, fearing she might collapse and humiliate herself on the spot. 

Even Victoria froze for a second. 

But she recovered quickly. “Turn off the screen! Cut the sound!” she snapped. 

The staff scrambled to comply, but the Kalen family’s banquet hall wasn’t some ordinary venue. It was wired with multiple LED displays and high–end projectors. 

Within moments, the explicit footage was being broadcast from every corner of the room. 

Outside, night had already fallen. With hundreds of guests inside and the hall fully powered, cutting the main electricity was impossible. 

The staff moved frantically, panic written across their faces. No matter how many screens they shut down, more 

flickered to life. 

They couldn’t stop it. 

In a shadowed corner, Kelly watched the chaos unfold below, a faint, satisfied smile curving her lips. 

She lifted her phone and said, “Niel, thank you for your help tonight. When I come to Rentresca, I’ll make sure to repay you properly.” 

Thomas, however, had no interest in watching Johanna’s humiliation–or how many men she’d “flown free” 

with. 

He brought Theo over to Carter. “Theo shouldn’t be here. Take him out first.” 

Carter glanced briefly at the obscene screen, his expression cold and controlled.

“I know.” 

Thomas gave a curt nod and turned to leave. But just then, his phone buzzed faintly in his pocket. 

He glanced down–it was Sharon calling. 

The phone rang once, then went silent. 

His eyes darkened. 

He immediately called her back. 

The line rang and rang, but no one answered. 

Thomas’s expression hardened, a chill creeping into his voice. 

If Sharon was fine, she would never ignore his call. 

He gripped his phone tightly, about to go look for her, when Rick suddenly came hurrying down the staircase. 

Thomas’s pupils contracted. He strode forward in long, urgent steps, seizing Rick by the collar. Frost shadowed his sharp, handsome features. 

“Where’s Sharon?” His voice was low, cold. “Weren’t you with her?” 

Rick looked bewildered. “She’s upstairs signing a contract. Why are you so worked up?” 

“Signing a contract? With who?” Thomas’s black eyes glinted like blades, his aura cutting through the air, suffocatingly intense. 

Rick instinctively flinched under the pressure, blurting, “Miles.” 

The words were barely out when realization hit him–why the hell had he just answered so obediently? 

Thomas’s face turned instantly grim, eyes dark as a brewing storm. 

“Where are they? Take me there. Now.” 

Rick shoved off the hand clutching his collar, his tone turning icy. “And why the hell should I listen to you?” (1
