Carter and Theo had traveled comfortably on a private jet. Even after a long flight, neither of them felt the least bit tired. Since learning in advance of their arrival, Sharon had already planned everything out.

“The amusement parks in Marcentine are famous,” she said with a warm smile. “Theo, do you want to go play?”

“I do!” Theo answered eagerly.

Sharon took his hand, her expression soft with affection.

Thomas naturally fell into step on Theo’s other side. “Theo, have you been practicing your shooting while I’ve been away?”

Theo lifted his chin proudly. “I’ve been practicing every day! Daddy even hired a shooting instructor for me. Thomas, this time I’ll definitely beat you!”

Thomas chuckled. “Alright, then let’s have a rematch later.”

“Yay!” Theo exclaimed, bouncing with excitement.

The striking trio drew countless stares as they walked. Whispered comments floated through the air, reaching Carter’s ears.

“What a gorgeous family of three!”

“No wonder their kid is so cute–the mother’s beautiful and the father’s so handsome!”

Carter’s expression darkened. His gaze fixed on the three figures ahead of him—Sharon, Thomas, and his son–and a shadow crossed his face.

He was Theo’s father. The boy looked just like him. Were these people blind?

Just then, Sharon seemed to sense his brooding presence. She paused mid–step and turned back.

“Carter, what are you standing there for? Hurry up and catch up.”

That single glance from her, that familiar tone–like sunlight breaking through the clouds–chased away the gloom in his chest.

She still remembered him. That was enough.

Carter’s steps grew lighter as he followed them forward.

At the amusement park, the four of them spent the morning moving from one attraction to another.

A group made up of two men, a woman, and a child was already eye–catching enough, but with looks like theirs, they became the unintentional center of attention.

None of them cared. They ignored the curious stares and simply enjoyed themselves.

Not far away, a shadow lurked among the crowd–Kelly.

Her eyes burned with hatred as she watched Sharon, her nails digging into her palms. She wanted nothing more than to rush forward and tear Sharon apart.

But she didn’t dare.

Thomas smiled and handed him an ornate cup. “Theo, your mom made this drink especially for you when she heard you were coming. Let’s skip the sodas here. They’re not good for you.”
