Silas continued grimly, “That little act of Sharon’s just now-pretending to be all gentle and pitiful-she was probably trying to trick me into saying something, or maybe even streaming the whole thing live. Luckily, I caught on in time. Otherwise, I’d have walked straight into her trap again.” 

Once bitten, twice shy-Silas had learned that lesson too well. 

Scott frowned deeply. “Having that walking surveillance camera around every day is unbearable. We used to be a normal family. Now we have to watch our every word.” 

Victoria spoke calmly, “Silas, Scott, there’s no need to let her scare you like that. Sharon can’t possibly livestream or record us every single time. Once or twice, the public might find it novel or entertaining. But if she keeps doing it, people will start questioning her character. 

“Who in their right mind would secretly record their own family over and over just to expose them online? 

“When that happens, public opinion will turn. Instead of siding with her, people will begin to see her as the problem. After all, no one likes being betrayed by their own kin. The first time she did it, it worked perfectly. But if she tries again, the backlash will be inevitable.” 

Silas’s eyes brightened slightly. “So, if she keeps livestreaming, it’ll actually work in our favor?” 

Victoria nodded. “Exactly. The longer she keeps it up, the better it is for us.” 

A glint of calculation flashed in Silas’s gaze. “Then, should we push her a little? Get under her skin until she loses control and starts another stream?” 

Victoria sighed, a trace of exasperation softening her voice. “She’s still our sister. There’s no need to go that far. Besides, this time, Jamie went too far. Sharon lost her entire career because of it-wanting revenge is understandable. 

“And more importantly…” She hesitated briefly before adding, “If we rush to expose her faults, we might end up making our own mistakes instead. You’ve never been the impulsive type, Silas.” 

Her words doused the fire in Silas’s chest. He sighed. “I know what you mean. I just can’t stand it. We were supposed to be one united family. Why does it have to be like this?” 

Scott’s tone was ice-cold. “She’s been demanding we terminate the contract with the Walton family without a thought for how much Kalen Group would lose because of her tantrum.” 

Victoria frowned slightly, unwilling to continue down that path. “Guys, weren’t you going to show me around? Let’s go.” 

They were just about to leave when Victoria’s phone rang. She answered-and her expression changed instantly. 

“What did you say, Samantha? Lex has been found?” 

Meanwhile, Sharon and Thomas had arrived at the door of Richard’s office, escorted by Silas’s assistant, who was clearly wary of Sharon. He knocked, explained their visit in detail, and only then dared to leave.

When Richard saw Sharon, surprise flickered across his face. “Sharon? What brings you here?” 

Sharon glanced at the two middle-aged foreign men seated on the sofa, then smiled. 

“Silas called me over to apologize.”
