Chapter 10
He raised his head to look at me. I was startled, thinking that he had found me. However, Oliver looked around for me. While searching for me, he spoke as he looked. “You’re still kind-hearted, aren’t you? You don’t want to see me kill someone, do you? Unfortunately, this person must be killed! She’s the one who harmed you, Dear. I know you want me to send her to prison, but I’m not willing to do that. Don’t worry, once I’ve killed her, I’ll die myself.”
As he said that, he kicked Anne viciously. She fell softly to the ground and was thrown into the water dungeon. Oliver had made preparations in there with poisonous snakes and electric eels.
Anne was jolted awake from unconsciousness by excruciating pain and saw Oliver tossing the wires down.
As she was quickly burned to a crisp, he also drew a knife and stabbed himself through. He then weakly looked up at the void. Though his gaze was unfocused, he smiled at me.
“Dear wife, I can finally meet you. I hope you don’t blame me for betraying and hurting you. I know you’ve always been the best person. You wouldn’t, would you?”
But this time, Oliver was wrong.
After he died, he saw my soul. In a frantic state, he ran toward me, calling out with joy, “I knew I would see you here, my wife. Did you come to wait for me? You still love me, don’t you?”
But I pushed him away without hesitation and walked toward the Angel of Death, who announced my fate.
In my previous life, I had done good deeds, accumulated merit and was killed by others in an unexpected accident. So, in my next life, I would be reincarnated as a good person in the human realm.
On the other hand, Oliver had taken three lives, so he would be sent to the deepest hell. The curse he had on Anne befell him.
He struggled desperately, calling out to me as his wife, wanting me to look at him, but I didn’t even acknowledge him.
After walking a few steps, I saw a small figure in the distance.
My baby hadn’t opened his eyes yet, but he could already accurately find my direction. I embraced my baby and heard him say, “Mom, I know you love me very much and I know you’ve done your best to protect me. In the next life, I still want to be your child. In the next life, can I be your daughter? I need to go queue up now. Can you give birth to me when you’re twenty-five?”
With a smile, I said yes.
The man behind me wailed, “Wife! Son! Wait for me! Even if it takes thousands of years, we’ll meet again!”
But the next moment, Anne’s piercing scream rang out. She clutched Oliver’s soul, shrieking, “Dream on! You’ll never leave me this lifetime! You killed me, so you should die with me!”
Bom!
With Anne clinging to Oliver, the two of them exploded.
The Angel of Death led me away, so I did not taint with their resentment.
So, from then on, their souls were scattered and they could no longer be reincarnated.
And, from now until forever, we would never meet each other again.
