Locked 1

Chapter 1

After my husband’s first love accidentally fell into the water, in a fit of rage, he locked me in the water dungeon!

“Anne was in the water for ten minutes, so you should stay in there for a whole week!”

It was in the dead of winter and I stood there shivering with cold, clutching my pregnant belly. I was crying and begging, “As long as I can safely give birth, I’m willing to take my own life afterward!”

But my husband only sneered. “Don’t use the baby to threaten me. Only after you’ve suffered enough will you finally be sensible.”

He didn’t allow anyone to care for me and took his first love abroad to relax.

I cried out in despair, begging for mercy, wanting to die with the child!

A week later, my husband, Oliver Wood, finally returned from his trip and casually ordered, “Let that slut out. Though she’s troublesome and dramatic, she’s still my wife and I can’t bear to keep her locked up forever.”

He didn’t know that my beauty had already turned into dry bones. In the fifth year since he hoped I would die, I was finally died!

‘Didn’t I tell you to release that slut? Why isn’t she coming to kneel before me and thank me?” Is she’s being stubborn? Well… if she doesn’t come, I’ll put her back and lock her up for another two days. She won’t die of thirst in the water cell anyway,” Oliver said offhandedly. Then he noticed his assistant’s expression suddenly grow strange.

The assistant cautiously explained, “Sir, earlier… it seemed no one was attending to the lady. Everyone was busy organizing the luggage you and Miss Davis brought back.”

Oliver was stunned for a moment and a trace of pity flashed across his eyes, but in the blink of an eye, he said nonchalantly, “Then let her stay locked up! That woman is so willful, it’s just right For her to reflect on herself for two more days.”

The assistant cautiously reminded him, “But I heard that there hasn’t been any movement in the water cell all day and people passing by said it smells absolutely terrible.”

Oliver smiled coldly this time, “She deserves to be in there.”

The assistant tried to persuade him further, but was cut off by Oliver. “Since that’s the case, I’ll Jo release her myself later and give her a good scolding, so she stops causing trouble for my Anne all the time!”

Just then, Anne Davis walked into the study carrying a cake. When he saw her, Oliver’s face nstantly softened into a gentle smile. “Anne, has your fever subsided? Don’t worry, that slut Isabel Jackson won’t have the chance to bully you like that again!”

Anne threw herself into his arms. Her face filled with emotion. “Oliver, I always knew I was the most important person in your heart. But I can’t bear to see you and your wife turn against each other because of me. When Isabel Jackson is released and if she apologizes, I’ll never bring it up again. You know I don’t want to put you in a difficult position.”

Her words moved Oliver deeply and he hugged her tightly. The two of them were so sweet and affectionate, they seemed like a real couple!

I watched this ridiculous scene and couldn’t help but chuckle as I floated around the room. They didn’t know that I was already dead and from now on, I wouldn’t have to apologize to Isabel with a guilty conscience!

After my death, I finally left that dark, cramped underground dungeon. Looking up from below, the dungeon was so cramped and dark that it didn’t seem like a place where humans could

enter.

Several amulets were plastered on the door, as they feared that the people inside would.come out to claim their lives. But, unfortunately for them, they were useless against me.

A few rats squeaking noisily on the shore, eyeing hungrily at my corpse, while the water bugs that had gnawed at me day and night still hovered around, occasionally taking bites as if enjoying an endless buffet.

…

Even as a corpse, the sight before me sent a chill down my spine! And yet at that moment, my husband was still preoccupied with his beloved mistress.

‘Why do you look so pale? Are you tired?”

‘It’s my fault for always making you suffer. I even made you apologize to that woman.. something she doesn’t deserve! She wanted your life, but I only locked her in the water prison. It was a small punishment for a great lesson!”
