Chapter 64 

Mark was getting married on Saturday. Sebastian, Gavin, Simon, and Mark decided to get together on Wednesday. 

They’d all grown up together, so Sebastian allowed himself a rare opportunity to let loose and drink more than he usually did. 

“Look, Sabrina’s here.” 

Mark patted Sebastian’s shoulder while his other friends grinned and winked. Sebastian snorted. He reclined in his seat, legs crossed. 

Perhaps because he’d been drinking, he seemed very relaxed. At Sabrina’s arrival, he merely glanced up at her as she approached him. 

Sabrina was naturally pretty, and her makeup was done immaculately. Blushing prettily, she lowered her eyes as she took a seat beside Sebastian. “Sebastian, you shouldn’t drink too much. You might get a stomach ache.” 

Jenny giggled and said, “So concerned for Sebastian already? You’re blushing, Sabrina.” 

“Stop that,” Sabrina whined. 

She turned to Sebastian, eyes sparkling. He wore a dress shirt with the top two buttons undone. One of his arms was draped across the couch. In his other hand, he swirled a glass of champagne. 

He seemed rather drunk. Sebastian was flushed, and his eyes were only half-open. However, he was still extremely handsome. His icy, unapproachable demeanor had melted away, and this only served to make Sabrina’s heart stutter. 

Mark and Jenny kissed to the cheers of the crowd. Everyone there had grown up together, and they had brought their girlfriends with them. Someone asked, “Are we going to be attending Mr. Grant’s wedding next?” 

As a result of the Grant family’s prestige, Sebastian’s friends addressed him with honorifics, even if they were slightly older than him. It was an unspoken rule. 

People like them often married within their social circle. Their families were well-off, and often wanted their children to get together with similarly well-off people. It was a fact they’d known growing up. After all, their family businesses were entwined with each other. 

Regardless of whatever wild affairs they got up to in their 20s, they had to obey their families’ instructions the second they turned 30. 

No matter how liberal the Grant family was, this was still something Sebastian had to consider 

when he turned 30. 

Sabrina pursed her lips to suppress a grin. Excitement bubbled within her. She wasn’t scared of Sebastian’s icy attitude. That was just his personality. As long as she won Martha’s favor, they would definitely get married at some point in the future. 

The Lawsons had collaborated with the Grants before. It had been a successful partnership. In addition, her brother was a politician and her sister was an opera singer. Sabrina was the best 

candidate for marriage. 

As the crowd cooed, she smiled at Sebastian. However, he frowned, seemingly lost in thought. 

Bored, Sebastian forced a small smirk. “It’s too early to know for sure.” 

No one dared to make a peep after that. Studying his expression, they changed the topic. 

Sabrina was a little upset by Sebastian’s words. Jenny consoled her, “Sebastian doesn’t have other female friends around him. Everyone in our social circle knows the two of you are dating, not to mention how your mom is friends with his. The two of you are a sure thing…” 

This comforted Sabrina. Slowly, her mood improved. Indeed, she’d already succeeded by 

getting Martha’s approval. 

“But he’s never called me his girlfriend. We’re just getting to know each other without defining our relationship.” 

“There’s no point in being in such a hurry. It’s pretty easy to pursue a man.” Another one of the girls came over to help her come up with a plan. 

Sabrina nodded from time to time, a blush high on her cheeks. 

Everyone there was friends with Mark. A dozen of them sat in a room together. 

A young man approached Sebastian. He worked in the smart furniture industry. Apart from wanting to celebrate Mark’s impending wedding, he’d also come to the party in order to network with Sebastian.
