“Did your strength get so weak after getting so thin?” Sebastian asked as he lifted Valeria’s 

chin. 

Looking at her swollen and reddened lips, he lowered his head and gently sucked on her lips. 

Valeria trembled slightly and wanted to move her face to the side. 

However, Sebastian had already held her head in place. His breaths were uneven as he trailed kisses down her chin to her neck. Then, he buried his face in the crook of her neck and hugged 

her. 

He took a deep breath, breathing in the faint fragrance from her hair. The scent on her body was like a sedative, calming him down slowly. 

At that moment, he only wanted to hug her silently. He actually didn’t want to do anything to 

her. In fact, his heart had been filled with joy when he first found out that she was Jane. 

It was Jane. She truly was Jane. 

However, the words that had come out of his mouth were sharp and sarcastic. 

Valeria struggled to break free, but that only made him tighten his arms around her. 

Sebastian only held her, not doing anything else. However, his breaths were hot against her neck, and through the thin clothes of her summer outfit, she could feel his hot body pressed against hers as he hugged her. 

Valeria listened to that fast and unsteady heartbeat, unsure if it was Sebastian or hers. Her fingers froze midair before she gently placed them on his back. 

She felt her heartbeat slowly calm from its frenzied state. 

At that moment, someone knocked on the lounge door, and Valeria’s hand immediately fell from his back. 

A nurse’s awkward voice rang out as she stammered, “Dr. Grant, a patient has just been brought to the ER. Although Dr. York is already there, he can’t handle it alone…” 

Sebastian let go of Valeria and gave her a long, meaningful look before heading out of the lounge. 

The nurse at the door immediately widened her eyes. When she saw Valeria come out, she blurted out, “Y-Your mouth…”

Then, the nurse took out a pack of tissues from her pocket and handed it to Valeria. 

Valeria took a piece of tissue and murmured a quiet thank you. 

Sebastian and Valeria left the lounge one after another. While Sebastian jogged to the ER, Valeria slowly walked to the elevator with her head lowered. However, they both had to pass by the nurses’ station. 

There were three nurses on duty for night shifts, and one of them was at the wards, another was walking behind Valeria, and the last nurse was sitting at the nurses’ station. 

20 minutes later, Sebastian left the ward and walked past the nurses’ station once again. Once his figure had disappeared down the hall, the nurses began to gossip. 

“Did you see Dr. Grant’s face just now?” 

Jamie walked over and lowered his voice. “The handprints on his face are so obvious. It’s clear that he got slapped.” 

“Did you see that woman who passed us just now? So that’s what Dr. Grant’s ideal type looks like. Just now when they were in the lounge, Dr. Grant had kissed her so hard that her lip was bleeding,” A nurse said as she made some gestures with her hand. 

Was Sebastian really that rough? 

The group of people then exchanged glances with each other. 

It was 10:00 pm, and there weren’t any emergencies. So, Jamie decided to stay at the nurses’ station and listen in on the nurses’ gossip. 

“She’s a few inches taller than me, and her slender body makes her look like she just walked out of a TV show. She matches the description Dr. Grant told us earlier, tall, fair, big boobs, and

“I thought Dr. Grant had just made up that shallow description of a woman to reject Ruby…”

“Dr. York, since you’re much closer to him, you should ask him about it.” 

Jamie shrugged. “I don’t dare to ask such a thing.”
