Chapter 235Â
Sebastian continued, “You could have followed Lucas to the hotel to prove your so-called innocence, or you could have used the entire situation to threaten me and make me your boyfriend.”Â
Valeria had never thought Sebastian would see things that way. She mumbled softly, “So that’s what you’ve been thinking.”Â
She lowered her gaze, and they landed on the pen clipped to the pocket on his chest. The black cap had leaked slightly, leaving a faint but obvious stain on Sebastian’s white shirt.Â
Looking at the pen, Valeria reached her hand out.Â
Just as she brushed her fingers against the pen, Sebastian caught her hand. However, Valeria had already closed her fingers around the pen.Â
Just from the cap alone, Valeria immediately knew that she was the one who had given Sebastian that pen. She never thought that he would still be using the pen after eight years had passed.Â
Suppressing the tremor in her voice, she said, “The pen you’re using is cheap and ordinary. In fact, it’s probably the cheapest pen you own, yet the pen happened to write so smoothly for you that you felt it was a shame to throw it away. Hence, you kept using it.”Â
Jane was probably no different from that pen in Sebastian’s eyes.Â
Valeria said, “Since it’s broken, instead of keeping it, you might as well just throw it away.”Â
“You’re right.” Sebastian gripped her fingers and looked at her face, not allowing any flicker of emotion to escape him. He had tried to find a flicker of hesitance or distress from her face, but he was quickly left disappointed.Â
Then, he took the pen from Valeria’s hand and said, “I should have thrown it away.”Â
With a lift of his arm, followed by a loud “bang,” the pen fell into the trash can near the desk.Â
Perhaps it was because their surroundings were too quiet, but the sound of the pen landing in the trash can was magnified.Â
Valeria’s heart skipped a beat, and her back shuddered lightly. She quickly snapped back to her senses, pulled her hand away, pushed Sebastian away, and left the lounge.Â
After taking two steps forward, Sebastian grabbed Valeria’s wrist from behind and forcefully pulled her back into the lounge.Â

Valeria immediately felt like she had been pulled into the eye of the storm.Â
The door wasn’t even closed before Sebastian pinned her against the wall with his body. Their breaths tangled as his lips devoured hers in a maddened frenzy.Â
Sebastian held her jaw with one hand, prying her lips open forcefully, and shoved his tongue deeper inside. His body was like a steel cage, locking her in.Â
Valeria tightened her hands into fists and began pounding against his chest in a panic. She had even knocked over a rack in the corner as she struggled frantically.Â
She was breathless from the kiss, and she had never experienced such a ferocious and passionate kiss. It practically stole her breath away.Â
Sebastian’s face was inches away from hers. His lips were hot, but his eyes were ice cold. Sebastian felt pained and crazed from the kiss, and he couldn’t calm himself down.Â
Suddenly, a sharp wind sliced across his cheek and the crisp slap echoed in the air.Â
Valeria’s hand was raised, and the atmosphere seemed to have come to a temporary pause.Â
Sebastian did not let her go, but he did end the kiss and flicked his tongue over his bottom lip. In truth, Valeria’s slap did not hurt at all, and he barely felt anything.Â
However, it was his first time being hit by a woman.Â
Valeria’s eyes turned red as she leaned against the wall and breathed heavily. She gulped hard, her mouth filled with saliva due to the fact that it had been forced open. Her lips were alsoÂ
swollen from all the kissing.Â
Her hand couldn’t help but tremble as she lowered it, having never intended to slap him.Â
