Chapter 205
Lewis scolded, “You little rascal! You only just arrived, and now you want to leave?”
Sebastian replied casually, “I’m going to the hospital for my shift.”
Nicholas, who was standing nearby, muttered, “You’re always the busiest.”
Sebastian could brush off anyone else at home, even Nicholas, but he couldn’t ignore Lewis. When he was a child, Nicholas had been busy running the Grant Group and grooming Florian as the heir. Meanwhile, Sebastian had grown up by Lewis‘ side.
Normally, even Nicholas didn’t dare act out of line. The younger generations of both the Grant and Bond families respected Lewis deeply.
Lewis tapped his cane, and the room immediately fell silent.
Sebastian slung one arm around Lewis‘ neck and leaned in close. “Grandpa, let me tell you a
secret.
Lewis leaned in, and Sebastian said, “I’ve got a girlfriend, and I’m going to see her.”
Lewis‘ eyes lit up. “Really?”
Sebastian nodded.
Lewis asked, “Then why don’t you bring her back for us to see?”
Leaning in closer, Sebastian whispered, “I’m just her backup right now. I’ll bring her back once I take the main spot.”
“You little rascal!” Lewis smacked his leg with the cane.
The wooden stick landed solidly, but Sebastian didn’t flinch. He kept his arm hooked over Lewis‘ shoulder. “I’m off to my date. Someone else might get ahead of me if I’m late.”
Lewis rubbed his temples and glared at Sebastian before waving him off. “Get lost.”
Nicholas had noticed when Lewis hit Sebastian as he headed out. “Where are you going? What did you say to your grandfather?”
The two of them were crossing paths, and Sebastian said smoothly, “I told Grandpa you and Mom sleep in separate beds at night.”
Nicholas‘ expression darkened instantly. He rushed over to Lewis and said, “Martha and I are getting along just fine. We don’t sleep in separate beds. Don’t listen to that brat’s nonsense.‘
Lewis looked sharply at Nicholas. “You and Marta are sleeping in separate beds?”

Nicholas fell silent at that.
Sebastian drove to Valeria’s apartment complex. Before he pulled in, he spotted Shane walking out and getting into a car.
He parked under her building, opened the trunk, and took out two shopping bags before heading up to the sixth floor.
Valeria had just opened the door to take out the trash.
She was startled to see Sebastian standing right outside. “What are you doing here?”
Sebastian stepped forward, and Valeria instinctively stepped back.
She raised her hand to block him, but Sebastian smoothly slipped one of the bags onto her wrist. “This is a New Year’s gift.”
Then, he caught her other hand, stepped inside, and shut the door.”
“Mr. Grant.” Selena tilted her head at him from the couch.
Sebastian had a rare look of seriousness on his face as he released Valeria. Then he walked
right over to Selena, pulled out a gift, and handed it to her.
He patted Selena’s head. “Happy New Year, little princess.”
Inside was a smartwatch that could make calls.
Sebastian had bought two of the latest models, giving the other one to Leo.“I’ve saved my number inside, so you can call me anytime you miss me.”
Selena glanced over at Valeria, who nodded. “Thank you, Mr. Grant.

Sebastian said, “Okay, I came to discuss some work matters with your mother. You be good
and watch TV.”
After he said that, Sebastian grabbed Valeria’s wrist and quickly pulled her into the bedroom.
He shut the door, and as he wrapped his arms around her, he whispered, “I saw Shane leaving.
When will he be back?”
How could Valeria know?
She could only feel the heat of his palm pressing against her waist, scorching her. It burned until she could barely stand.
She looked up at his eyes. His gaze was stern and unreadable. Yet, that cold, stormy gaze seemed to hide a deceptively dangerous calmness.
