Chapter 187
Although the New Year was approaching, the entire office building was still brightly lit.
Valeria had arrived home. She wasn’t interested in Gabriella, but the trending topics and every entertainment app were flooded with news about her.
The marketing was relentless, and there was no escaping it.
Even when Valeria was watching a variety show on the couch with Selena, a promotional ad for Gabriella interrupted the commercial break on TV.
“Mommy, Leo said he’s coming here with Mrs. Grant Sr. to see me tomorrow,” Selena uttered.
Valeria was looking at the TV screen with a frown. She didn’t hear what Selena said, but she nodded instinctively.
She clenched her fists slightly before reaching for her phone and opening Facebook.
The trending topics read, “#GabriellaInBlackSwan DressEmbellishedWithCrystals.”
“#GabriellaInWhiteFeatheredGown.”
Countless fashion bloggers were reposting and commenting on the post.
Gabriella had even posted about it.
Her post read, “Tonight is a very special night for me, and I’d like to thank my grandparents, my parents, my aunt and uncle, Sebastian, and the sweet little Leo for spending this wonderful night with me.
“I’d also like to thank my dear friend, Sabrina Lawson, who designed my stunning gown. Let me tell you something. She’s the most talented fashion designer out there. Brina designed the black one, and my mom designed the white one.”
Gabriella even attached a nine–photo collage, which featured Nicholas, Martha, Zayn, Mallory, Leo, and Sebastian.
The photo featuring Nicholas and Martha was taken with softer lighting, making their features only faintly visible.
Valeria zoomed in on the photo of Sebastian.
Sitting next to him in the photo was Sabrina.
“They really look good together, don’t they?” Valeria asked inwardly.
She then subconsciously tapped into the comments section.

“Wow! Sebastian is so handsome!”
“Is Sebastian a celebrity?”
“Does Sebastian have a girlfriend?”
“The black and white gowns are different in color and cut, but the overall style feels kind of
similar.”
“Madam Huxley’s designs are distinctive. My team had the privilege of seeing her in person at a fashion show in Elaris. We’ve sent her countless invitations from our magazine, but it seems she’s just too busy,” commented a deputy editor of a well–known national magazine.
Gabriella had replied to some of the comments.
“If you want to know whether Sebastian has a girlfriend, you’ll have to ask Sabrina!”
“My grandparents don’t like taking photos, so I asked the photography team to soften the lighting. My grandma’s the prettiest tonight.”
“As for Brina, she is my mom’s favorite young, up–and–coming designer. I believe she’ll be just as amazing as my mom in the future.”
Sabrina replied, “My design style has been deeply shaped and guided by Madam Huxley. To even have traces of her style is a great honor. Thank you all for your support.”
“Brina is so humble.”
“Exactly! Her work is amazing, but she’s still so modest.”
Tonight, the most talked–about moment was Gabriella on stage, wearing her black and white
gowns.
The black gown in particular stole the spotlight. Its style might have mirrored the white one at first glance, but its bolder design, paired with the stage lighting, left the entire audience in
awe.
The designer behind it, Sabrina, was also receiving lots of attention.
