Chapter 180

Chapter 180

Valeria had no idea what was wrong with Sebastian for him to show up in the middle of the night acting so strangely.

He was neither drunk nor down with a fever, so she assumed that he had taken drugs.

She could hardly imagine Sebastian doing something illegal, but his current demeanor was anything but normal.

Valeria did not want to argue with him, nor did she have the mood or energy to do it with him right then and there.

She would be leaving Slate City after the New Year and returning to her hometown.

They would probably never see each other again.

Valeria had no idea on how to break the news to him. She had been planning to find the right moment in the next few days to end things with him.

Sebastian’s eyes turned bloodshot as he stared at a patch of skin at her chest area. His expression slowly darkened as well.

Valeria instinctively looked down and saw that there were several small red dots just below her

collarbone.

The car’s interior light was switched off, but both of them were close enough for him to faintly see the red marks on her skin. Her being pale also made the red spots all the more

obvious.

Lucy had bought various candies in preparation for the New Year, and Valeria had casually eaten a piece of nougat. Aside from almonds, she did not expect it to also contain peanuts

within.

Valeria was allergic to peanuts. She had really enjoyed the sweet and had only realized that she was allergic to it when she saw the red spots appearing on her skin.

She then immediately warned Selena not to eat any of it.

It was not pleasant to undergo an allergic reaction.

Valeria had only eaten a single piece of the sweet and had even taken some allergy medicine afterward. The red rashes were already under control, but it was still itchy at times, causing her to scratch at it from time to time.

She felt rather uncomfortable from being stared at like that.

Sebastian stared at her red rashes blatantly while his fingers digging into her waist were

starting to hurt her.

The car’s interior was cramped, and there was not much ventilation.

Valeria shivered from the cold. Sebastian, what’s wrong with you? Are you okay? Just let go of me first.”

Sebastian was not okay. There was no way he would be. Just the sight of the red marks on her body had caused his eyes to turn bloodshot.

The very thought of Valeria and Shane tangled up together left him anxious, in fear, and reluctant to accept reality before him.

He could not even imagine what kind of lie she had used to excuse herself from Shane before coming out of the house to see him.

Sebastian lowered his head and avoided the red marks before pressing his lips to her chest to make his own marks. He sucked on her hard enough to make her gasp in response.

Valeria’s slender fingers clutched onto his short hair. She then pressed one of her palms to his forehead and tried to push him away.

She tried to back away from him, but her spine was already pressed against the steering wheel. The cramped space within the car gave her nowhere to retreat to.

Her resistance only made Sebastian angrier, causing his expression to darken.

He wondered whether he was not even allowed to kiss her once now that Shane had returned. Even though Shane had already kissed her all over the place, he had yet to say anything about

  1. it.

Sebastian wanted to speak up about it, but he was a prideful man who grew up with everyone catering to him.

It had always been other women pursuing him, and he had never once had to lower himself to try and win someone over.

He had no reason and no capability to tolerate a woman who did not love him, but here he was, holding himself back at Valeria.

Sebastian knew just how ruthless she could be, as well as how skilled she was at manipulating him. You really are a ruthless woman, Valeria.”

He continued to kiss and bite at her collarbone and slowly moved up along her neck.

He eventually reached her lips and began to adjust the seat’s angle. The car’s cramped interior only made it even more suffocating.

Valeria had stayed up late that night to translate an email for Kayla. She was already exhausted

from working past midnight and lacked the energy for this.

Plus, she had to bring Selena to the hospital first thing the next morning.

Sebastian’s arms were like clamps of steel, holding her so tightly that she felt suffocated.

Valeria eventually managed to catch her breath through his iron grip.

Sebastian, wait. Her voice was hoarse as she continued, Let me go. I’m tired. I still have things to do in the morning. I need to go back.”

As she looked at Sebastian, her expression was calm and collected.
