Valeria could not breathe for a moment. 

After getting some fresh air again, she looked down at the head buried against her chest, rubbing against her skin with his stiff and short hair. 

She then shivered all over. “Don’t be like this, Sebastian.” 

Sebastian’s fingers brushed away her down jacket, revealing the beige colored nightdress underneath. 

He had little patience left at that point.

By the time he reached the last button, what remaining patience he had was thoroughly gone. He bit down hard on that and pulled it off with his teeth. He then held it in his mouth for a moment before spitting it out. 

Sebastian stripped away both her down jacket and her pajamas, revealing her pale shoulders. 

Valeria’s voice was trembling as she shouted, “Sebastian!” 

She felt that something was wrong with him. 

He looked at her with a grim expression. Then, he suddenly smiled at her with a sharp chill hidden within his gaze. 

He slid his fingers along her chin before pressing down on her lips with his thumb. “Your bedroom light has been on all night. When exactly are you planning to turn it off?” 

Valeria reached out to pull up her clothes. “Soon. In about half an hour.” 

She just needed another half an hour to finish the translation and email it back to Kayla. 

Sebastian’s expression turned for the worse. He gritted his teeth and asked, “Another half an hour?” 

Valeria did not understand what was wrong with staying up for another half an hour. “Can you let me go?” 

She had never seen Sebastian in such a state before. His gaze was heavy and his expression grím as he stared straight at her. 

She could not help but feel a chill run down her spine, causing her to have goosebumps. All she knew was that something was wrong with him. 

Valeria’s voice grew quieter as Sebastian’s thumb still held onto her lips. “Did you take drugs

She did not think he would be the type to do so, but it was just a common occurrence for rich folks like him to end up in the news for being involved in scandals of substance abuse. 

Sebastian’s voice was hoarse. “Is that how you view me? Anyway, you’re just continuing for half an hour? Is Shane that useless? I’m not like him at all. I can go however long you want me to.” 

Valeria quickly realized that he must have misunderstood the situation, thinking that she was lying in bed with Shane at that moment. “Huh?” 

Her slender fingers pushed against his chest and created a small distance between them, though there was barely any difference. 

She continued, “Thank you for the strawberries, but I can’t possibly accept the gown. I don’t think it’s for me.” 

The car’s interior was dark, and the air felt sealed in. 

Sebastian gripped the back of her neck through her hair and whispered, “You don’t like it?” 

“It doesn’t suit me.‘ 

“Then who does it suit?” 

“It’ll suit your future wife, of course. The wealthy socialites and heiresses of the elite are far more suited for that dress.” 

Those women were born to wear such luxurious dresses after all, and Valeria knew that she was no Cinderella. 

“Stop trying to piss me off, Valeria. I didn’t come here to argue with you.” 

Sebastian did not want to have another argument with her. He saw for himself how ruthlessly cold she could be. She actually meant it when she said that she would stop contacting him. 

She would no longer reply to his messages and even turn down a dress worth millions delivered to her doorstep just to live with her husband in an ordinary apartment within an ordinary neighborhood. 

The dress Sebastian had gifted to her would be worth several blocks in the neighborhood. 

He tried to reach out to her, but she would not reciprocate even the slightest bit. 

Sebastian had no experience in trying to win over a woman’s heart, Neither Mark nor Simon did either, so there was no point in asking them for advice. 

For people like them, breaking up would usually have the woman clinging onto them, crying, and begging them not to break up.

Even Selena followed suit, opting to remain silent instead of calling out to him as usual.
