At that moment, Valeria was just thankful that the two of them were fully dressed. 

While Valeria’s face was extremely red, Sebastian looked refreshed. However, when he met Selena’s innocent eyes, he suddenly felt an inexplicable pang of guilt. 

Valeria did not bother to explain, and it wasn’t like she could explain what had happened 

either. 

Meanwhile, Sebastian told them that he had to go out for a bit and that he’d return after a while to bring them home. 

Valeria knew that Selena wanted to use the bathroom and was about to help her when Selena said, “Mommy, I can do it myself.” 

Hence, Valeria waited by the door for a short while. As she stared at the frosted glass door, she felt an inexplicable sense of guilt, and the heat in her cheeks still had not faded. 

Valeria felt like she had done something bad and was terrified of being caught. 

She began to wonder if there were any weird smells in the bathroom when she remembered there were no windows inside. She wasn’t sure if Sebastian had thought to turn on the 

ventilation in the bathroom. 

Valeria was also recalling if they had thrown the condoms in the trash can or if they had forgotten to throw them away and had left them out on the floor. 

The feeling was exactly like how she’d be worried about whether her door was locked after arriving at the office. She completely forgot about what had happened afterward. 

“Mommy.” Selena’s voice rang from inside. 

Valeria pushed open the door and went in. 

“Mommy, I still need your help,” Selena admitted. Her winter clothes were considerably thick, and she did not dare to put her weight on one of her legs. 

Valeria helped Selena get dressed, and she instinctively glanced around the bathroom, only to realize that the bathroom was much smaller than she had imagined. It was barely a few feet wide. 

She didn’t dare to imagine how she and Sebastian had stayed in there for so long and the intense things they had done. No wonder she felt breathless and suffocated just now. 

“Mommy, did you catch a fever? Your face is really red.” Selena looked at Valeria worriedly before she suddenly peeled off the cooling pad on her forehead and stuck it on Valeria’s

Selena asked, “Mommy, will this make you feel better?”

“Thank you, Lenny,” Valeria said as she touched the cooling pad on her forehead. Then, she added, “Lenny, let’s go home now.” 

“Didn’t Mr. Grant ask us to wait for him? He said that he’d send us home later,” Selena said. 

Valeria explained, “He’s quite busy, so it’s best if we don’t disturb him.” 

It was still pouring outside when Valeria and Selena had left the hospital. They sat in the car and listened to raindrops pelting against the car roof. 

Since Selena had napped a little during her IV drop, she was quite energetic when she reached home. “Mommy, what happened there?” 

When Valeria had been changing her clothes, Selena had spotted the unusual redness and slight bruising around Valeria’s waist. Valeria could only claim that she had accidentally knocked into something. 

Selena immediately ran to the living room and took out a tube of ointment from the first aid kit, wanting to help Valeria apply medication to her bruises. 

With Valeria lying in bed, she couldn’t see her own back. However, due to Sebastian’s strength and the number of times her back had hit the tiled wall and the mirror by the sink, she was starting to feel the pain. 

At that moment, Selena’s warm hands applied the cooling ointment to Valeria’s back. Selena’s actions were gentle, and she looked worried. 

Valeria had actually slept with Sebastian. 

Despite the fact that they had slept together repeatedly in the past, Sebastian had failed to recognize her. 

Valeria had to admit she had changed a lot since then, and a lot of her close friends and relatives weren’t able to recognize her. 

However, Valeria didn’t care about them, she only cared about Sebastian. 

On one hand, she didn’t want him to know that she used to be Jane, but on the other hand, she felt a strong sense of disappointment after realizing he had truly failed to recognize her. 

Perhaps Jane would always be a plump person in his heart, always meant to be overlooked. Seven years had passed, and perhaps Sebastian had forgotten all about her a long time ago.
