Chapter 119
Sebastian faced his impure thoughts about Valeria openly. He wanted to sleep with her. There was no point in hiding it–just for tonight.
He had gone to Class B’s gathering because of Valeria, but he ended up losing control and lashing out after hearing a few men insult Jane.
Sebastian didn’t know what kind of gossip would start in that room after he left or whether Valeria would hear about it. His feelings toward Valeria weren’t pure, but they also weren’t the only ones he had.
In the past, Sebastian never would have imagined that he’d one day be associated with the word “scumbag“. But here he was, thinking about two women at the same time.
Still, he couldn’t tolerate anyone insulting Jane like that. Even if it had happened right in front of Valeria that night, he still would have punched those guys. Whether he liked Jane or not was his own business.
It was deep in the night, and Sebastian sat on a single armchair by the window. The smell of alcohol on him had long dissipated.
The living room lights were off, leaving the place completely dark. His gaze was deep and unfathomable.
Sebastian got up and walked over to the trash can, taking out the delivery box he had thrown
away.
The parcel was only the size of his palm. After opening it, he found the blue gemstone tiara
inside, wrapped in foam padding and inlaid with tiny diamonds that sparkled even under the dim light. It was luxurious and beautiful.
When he picked this piece at the boutique, the sales assistant had told him it contained two
stones that symbolized peace and safety. It was blue and incredibly beautiful.
He understood what Valeria meant, and he also understood how ridiculously he’d been acting lately. If it weren’t for what happened tonight, he might have continued down that absurd
path.
In the days that followed, Valeria didn’t see Sebastian again, and he didn’t go looking for her either. The two of them returned to their normal routines.
Sebastian would only catch the occasional glimpse of Selena when he went to pick Leo up, but he would only observe from a distance.
One morning, while dropping Leo off at school, Sebastian took out two boxes of imported

fruit gummies from the glove compartment. “One box is for you, and give the other to Selena. Tell her it’s from you.”
“Okay!” Leo happily stuffed both boxes into his backpack and was just about to get out of the car when Sebastian suddenly reached over and gripped the back of Leo’s neck. Sebastian’s eyes. flickered as he looked out the window.
Leo desperately flailed about. “Uncle Sebastian, let go of me! I see Val and Selena! I want to go to them!”
This was the usual school drop–off time, so there were people and cars everywhere. The road was jammed, and the crowd was moving slowly.
Sebastian had seen Valeria as well. He clenched his teeth, and he started to frown. He gave Leo a light smack on the back of his head. “Quit squirming. Wait a bit before you get out.”
“No, Val…” Leo shouted.
But they were in a locked car, and the sound didn’t carry outside.
Valeria waved goodbye to Selena, who walked into the school. Then, she turned to leave.
She kept walking until her figure faded into the distance.
Leo looked at Sebastian as if he’d been wronged. “Uncle Sebastian! You’re the biggest obstacle to my love life!”
Leo hadn’t seen Valeria in so long, and now that he finally did, Sebastian wouldn’t let him out
of the car.
Once Valeria had disappeared from view, Sebastian gave Leo another smack on the head. But
this time, Leo avoided it and glared at Sebastian.
Sebastian let out a cold snort. “Get out.
“Uncle Sebastian, if you keep this up, I’m going to get mad!” Leo huffed, puffing out his cheeks like a pufferfish and putting his hands on his hips.
Sebastian merely raised an eyebrow and gave him a chilly glance.
Leo shrank back slightly, slumped his shoulders, and finally got out of the car. He swore to himself that he would definitely complain to Martha later.
Sebastian pulled the car forward, and the GPS warned him of traffic congestion ahead, so his car crawled forward slowly.
As he inched along, he suddenly spotted a familiar figure standing at a nearby bus stop.
Once again, she was wearing a blue coat. How many blue clothes did this woman own?
Chapter 110
Why was the man beside her trying to strike up a conversation with her while she was waiting for the bus? What were they talking about? Why was she smiling at that stranger?
