Chapter 118 

Sebastian cast a cold glance at Sean, who was still lying on the ground. 

He clenched his fists tightly as his chest heaved from his ragged breathing. Then, he turned slightly and glanced at Mark, who hurriedly let go of him. 

Sebastian clenched his teeth as the men’s lewd, disgusting words echoed in his ears. 

Even Mark was frightened. “Sebastian, I think you had too much to drink. How about coming to my office to sober up?” 

Mark wasn’t worried about the incident blowing up, as they could just cover it up if needed. It was just that seeing Sebastian so cold and ruthless was rare. 

Sebastian’s gaze was razor–sharp as he looked at Sean, then he picked up his coat that had fallen on the couch and turned to leave. 

Mark took two steps forward but then remembered something. When he turned around to look at Chandler, he was no longer his usual casual self. Instead, his tone carried a warning as he said, “You should know what to do, right?” 

Chandler quickly nodded. 

Mark hurried ahead. By the time he reached the door, Sebastian had already left. Just as he was hurrying to catch up with him, three women came walking in. 

“Valeria, what brand is the foundation you’re wearing? Your skin looks so smooth.” 

“It’s just something cheap I randomly bought. I’ll send you the link.” 

Mark froze for a second and instinctively turned to look at Valeria. 

She looked very ordinary. Sure, she was kind of cute, with a few freckles on her cheeks. But it was hard to say that she was beautiful. 

Why was Sebastian interested in that woman? 

He frowned. “You’re Valeria?” 

“Yes,” Valeria replied, looking a bit confused as she looked at him. “And you are…?” 

Mark just shot her a small smile and said nothing as he rushed out the door. 

Back inside the room, most of the others still had no idea why Sebastian had suddenly lashed 

out. 

Sean was bruised and battered. He spat on the floor and cursed after Sebastian and Mark left, These rich assholes think they’re untouchable.”

Chandler looked at him. “What did you do to piss off Mr. Grant?” 

Sean looked a bit guilty. “How would I know?” 

Only Salem, sitting not far away with a wine glass in hand, seemed unbothered as he lounged. on the couch with a smirk. “What a bunch of idiots.” 

After a while, Mark spotted Sebastian near the stairs. “Sebastian, I just saw Valeria there in the 

room…” 

Of course, Mark didn’t dare to ask what Sebastian saw in that plain woman. That would be suicide. 

Sebastian was just about to head down the stairs when he paused mid–step. Almost instantly, his face turned even colder as he started walking downstairs. 

Mark followed closely behind him, but from where he was, he couldn’t make out Sebastian’s 

expression. 

He couldn’t see that the moment Mark mentioned Valeria, Sebastian seemed to instinctively speed up, and he didn’t notice the flicker of something strange on his face. Just earlier, he had wanted to go to the room upon hearing her name, but now, something seemed to have subtly changed. 

Sebastian moved so quickly down the stairs that he nearly collided with a waiter carrying drinks. The waiter recognized Mark as the owner and turned pale, stammering out an apology. 

Sebastian ignored it completely. He looked like all he wanted to do at that moment was to get away. His car was parked outside. 

Mark rushed ahead and opened the rear door. “Sebastian, where are you going? I’ll call you a driver.” 

Then, he decided to forget about that and drive himself. 

Something about Sebastian tonight just felt off. 

Sebastian sat in the back seat, rubbing his temples. His voice was hoarse as he uttered just one word, “Home.” 

Not a single unnecessary word followed. 

Sebastian clenched his fist again, feeling the ache in his knuckles from when he had punched 

Sean’s face. 

Back home, Sebastian didn’t get a single minute of sleep that night. 

The last time he’d been this sleepless was when he saw Jane in a shallow, fleeting dream. Then he saw another woman, Valeria, who reminded him of her. 

Chapter 118 

But slowly, Jane’s name had begun to fade, and his insomnia had faded with it. 

Valeria had appeared in his life so suddenly. 

He had some shameful, selfish thoughts about that woman that made him discard all his principles. He even felt possessive toward her daughter, fantasizing about how wonderful it would be if he had a sweet, beautiful daughter like that. 

He didn’t see Valeria as some replacement for Jane. But at the beginning, he only started paying attention to Valeria because Valeria reminded him of Jane. 

Sebastian didn’t know if this meant he just had a thing for women like that or if it was just a pure, carnal desire at first sight.
