Chapter 105
Sebastian got out of the car and leaned against the door, checking the time.
Just then, a housekeeper from the Grant family who was there to pick up Leo happened to see him and called out to him. Leo ran over excitedly, “Uncle Sebastian, did you come to pick me up?”
Sebastian replied coldly, “No.”
Leo said, “Then what are you doing here?”
At that moment, Selena appeared, carrying her little backpack around. She looked around before she walked over. “Mr. Grant.”
Sebastian’s expression softened significantly, and he took Selena’s hand before helping her
into the car.
Leo tried to follow as well, but Sebastian grabbed his collar and stopped him. “I have something to do. Go home with the housekeeper.”
Leo suddenly had a mysterious look on his face. He looked at Sebastian solemnly and said, ”
Uncle Sebastian, I get it now.”
Selena got in the car, and Sebastian shut the door behind her.
Then, he shot the housekeeper a look and motioned for her to take Leo home.
When he heard what Leo said, he lazily responded, “What do you get?”
Leo replied, “You want to go on a date with Selena. I’d just be the third wheel if I went. That’s why you don’t want to take me with you.”
Sebastian rubbed his brow helplessly.
Even the housekeeper approaching them couldn’t help but laugh. “Mr. Leo has been watching a lot of soap operas with Mrs. Grant Senior at home. It’s getting to his head.”
Sebastian shook his head, feeling exasperated and speechless as he called out the boy’s name,
Leo.”
Leo puffed out his chest. “I guessed right, didn’t I? I won’t go, but you can’t butt in next time I go on a date with Selena either!”
The boy’s tone was innocent, but he tried so hard to sound like an adult.
Normally, Sebastian would find it funny, but for some reason, the word “butt in” irked him.
His expression changed slightly.

“Where are you learning these things from?” Sebastian scooped Leo up and marched him toward the van, stuffing him inside. “From now on, stop watching those soap operas with your grandmother.”
Leo clung to the window with his chubby little hands. “It’s a deal then. I want to go on solo dates with Selena, too. But Uncle Sebastian, you’re not allowed to bully Selena. Otherwise, things will get complicated if I end up with her.”
Sebastian shut the door with a straight face and returned to his car.
When he saw the quiet little girl sitting obediently in the back seat, his previously agitated
mood was somehow soothed.
Maybe it was because she had been eating healthier lately, but her cheeks weren’t as sharp and thin as before. They were slightly rounded now. With her school uniform on, she looked absolutely adorable.
“Mr. Grant, I didn’t tell Mommy. Is that really okay?” Selena blinked at Sebastian, looking a
little unsure.
Sebastian answered, “Your mother has to work late tonight. I’ll make sure to bring you home
before nine.”
Sebastian had already decided that he would act first and explain himself later.
He asked, “So, Lenny, are you willing to hang out with me?”
Selena actually knew that Valeria didn’t seem to like Sebastian because Sebastian looked a lot like her dad in the photo.
If she told Valeria that she was spending time with Sebastian, Valeria would probably get upset.
But she thought Sebastian was a very nice person, and she felt happy whenever she was with
him.
Sebastian wasn’t like Caleb. Sebastian’s hugs were very warm, just like a father’s.
“Yes.” Selena nodded vigorously.
Not far off, Sebastian saw Lucy coming over to pick Selena up from school. He took out his phone and gave Valeria a call to tell her he had picked Selena up.
Then, before she could say anything, he added, “I’ll bring her back before nine tonight.‘
He hung up right after that.
Strangely, he actually felt a bit guilty. It felt like he had just kidnapped someone’s daughter.
But the phone didn’t ring again. Sebastian had expected to be bombarded by calls from Valeria,

but nothing came.
All he got was a message on WhatsApp.
