In a panc, by sucdenly rolled her eyes and famed on the spot 

could tell she was taking it. But honestly, I was too tired to care anymore. 

She mes iredetely rushed into the ER for emergency treatment. At the same time, the pollice arrived after receiving multiple reports. After all, stealing IDs and taking out high–interest loors is a serious crime, and so was bribing exam officials to cheat on an 

entrance exam 

For that, they needed to open a full investigation. 

But when the tech team analyzed the surveillance footage by submitted as “evidence” against me, they quickly noticed something strange. 

The video she provided, showing me stealing the class’s ID cards, was fake and just edited 

To prove my innocence, I asked the police to pull the real surveillance footage from the exam room during the college entrance exam. 

Sure enough, everything I did in that room was above board, nothing suspicious, no signs of cheating. 

But when they zoomed in on Ivy, who sat a little behind me, things got interesting. 

She had hidden cheat sheets inside the sleeve of her admission card. 

Turns out, the real cheater was Ivy all along. 

Well, that made sense. She had always ranked at the bottom of the class. How could she have magically scored high enough to get into a top university? 

Back then, she bragged to everyone about how she’d prayed at a temple, and how divine blessings helped her ‘miraculously‘ score so well. 

The rest of the class bought into it, too, and they resented me for stopping her little “blessing” plan involving their ID cards. 

I even felt a little guilty at the time. 

Now that I think about it, all that “divine favor” and “miracle performance” was just her cheating. 

Still, one thing continued to bother me. If I had already gotten my ID card back, how did Ivy still manage to take out a four–hundred–grand loan using my identity? 

With that in mind, I told a senior officer about it. 

He asked me to hand over the ID I’d recovered from Bentley earlier that morning. 

Though still confused, I gave it to him. 

He pulled out a magnifying glass, inspected it closely, then frowned. 

“This ID is a fake,” he finally said. “It’s been forged.” 

Everything clicked in an instant.

Ivy had swapped out my real ID while it was still with Bentley. The one I’d fought so hard to get back was a counterfeit.

I quickly waved my hands in panic. “No, no, that’s not necessary. It’s my problem. I’ll handle it myself.” 

Though honestly, I had no idea how I was going to handle it. 

Mike didn’t seem like the kind of person I wanted to rely on. Sure, he was my biological father but I didn’t want to use his money. 

I pulled out my phone and opened my WhatsApp contacts, trying to see if there was anyone I could ask for help. 

Before I could react, a quick–handed reporter snatched my phone, pulled up my payment QR code, and held it straight into the camera, right in front of all the livestreams.
