“It’s fine.” Tracie smiled faintly.

When she had a high fever and was in the hospital getting an IV, he was preparing to fly overseas with Juliana. At the airport, he realized he was missing a document and called her, knowing she was still hooked up to the IV. He impa- tiently told her to pull out the needle and bring him the document.

He took the whole family abroad for the summer but didn’t take her.

When she found out and asked him about it, his response was short. “I forgot.”

That was the end of the conversation.

There had been countless instances like this during their six years of marriage, where he completely disregarded her feelings and treated her like she didn’t exist.

She’d learned to accept it.

When she gave birth to Wendi, she almost died from blood loss. Wendi was raised by Tracie alone, with no one offer- ing her help. Wendi had always been extremely attached to her.

But after last summer, when Grover took the whole Stanton family to Vuwell for two months without her, Wendi be- gan to change.

She started resenting Tracie, becoming impatient with her.

She even started thinking Tracie was bad.

Tracie drove back to the villa.

She packed her things into a suitcase and moved them into the car. Not one servant helped her.

No one even asked, “Mrs. Stanton, where are you going with your luggage?”

The servants of the Stanton family knew exactly how little attention Grover paid to her.

Once her luggage was in the car, Tracie drove out of the villa and parked outside the gate.

Grover and Wendi returned around 8 p.m.

As the car waited for the gate to open, Tracie got out, walked to Grover, and handed him two documents.

“What are you doing standing out here? Is Wendi’s bathwater ready? And have you ironed my clothes for tomorrow?” Grover asked, frowning, his gaze as cold as ever.

Wendi also wasn’t happy. “Mom, you look like a ghost. You’re so scary. Can you just act normal?”

Tracie ignored their comments.

She simply handed the two documents through the car window and said calmly, “Take a look and sign them.”

Grover took the papers, glanced at them, and saw the words “Divorce Agreement” written across the top.

Upon seeing the words “Divorce Agreement,” Grover didn’t appear surprised.

His five-year-old daughter, Wendi, who couldn’t read yet, looked up at him and asked, “Daddy, what’s this?”

Grover casually replied, “It’s your mom’s confession letter.”

Confession letter?

Had it really become so natural for him to suppress her?

“Mom, you need to apologize to Daddy, me, and Juliana. Otherwise, we won’t let you back in the house!” Wendi said seriously, blinking her big, innocent eyes.

Hearing this, Tracie felt no pain at all.

Her heart was so exhausted that it was almost beyond words.

She simply spoke in a tired, empty tone, “Please sign it quickly.”

She then turned and got back into her car, started the engine, and drove away.

Wendi, surprised, called out in her childlike voice, “I haven’t kicked her out yet, why did Mommy leave?”

“She’s on a business trip,” Grover replied calmly.

“Then who’s going to give me a bath, dry my hair, and tell me stories? Doesn’t she know there’s a five-year-old here who needs taking care of? She doesn’t even have a job, so what business trip?” Wendi huffed, crossing her arms.

She might have wanted Tracie gone, but only if Juliana was moving in.

Otherwise, who would take care of her?

Grover lifted her out of the car and carried her into the house.

The housekeeper, Agnes James, reported to Grover, “Sir, Tracie left with a suitcase…”

“I know,” Grover said curtly, heading straight upstairs.

In his study, Grover didn’t even glance at the divorce agreement. He simply tossed it straight into the shredder.

The two agreements were shredded to pieces in an instant.
