Chapter 15

1/2

Stanley tied Macy up

She drifted in and out of consciousness, wracked with excruciating pain. Only now did she believe that he really wasn’t going to let her go. She sobbed and begged for mercy, hoping that Louis and Sapphire would show up at the house and save her

Stanley clearly saw through her thoughts. He grabbed her phone and let out a cold laugh

My parents won’t come to save you. Thanks to you, they like you a lot, so they definitely won’t bother us when we’re busy in bed

Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get pregnant. I want you to experience the pain of a Csection and the agony of the stitches tearing over and over. I want you to know what it feels like to watch the baby you struggled to give birth to slowly pass out from hunger because it’s unable to nurse.”

Macy stared at Stanley, stunned. How could such a strikingly handsome man say such cruel things

At that moment, she’d rather be attending to the perverted 80yearold man she had been with

before

That’ll be your child too,she said, struggling. The baby will be carrying the Frey family bloodline

You can’t do this.”

Stanley took a drag of his cigarette and then pressed the burning end onto her arm. A baby between a brother- and sisterinlaw? A bastard like that won’t be worth keeping

With that, he strode out of the room

He packed up all his belongings, locked the door from the outside, and left his brother’s marital home. Staying there was a waste of time. He needed to oversee the search himself

He had been deceived by Macy before, which had caused his attitude toward Roxanne to turn cold. Everyone thought he no longer loved her

Now, he was going to tell the world that Roxanne had always been the woman he loved, and that only she was worthy of being his wife

It’s been so long, and you still haven’t found her? What’s the point of having all of you then?Stanley roared, exploding in rage at the office

He had only just found out that his subordinates hadn’t been seriously searching for Roxanne at all. Macy was afraid that Roxanne would be found, and so she had given everyone time off a long time

ago

Mr. Frey, you were the one who told us to fulfill all of Ms. Shaw’s wishes. All she asked was for us to

take some time off.”

Chapter 15

Stanley gritted his teeth. Who owns this company, exactly? And how can Ms. Shaw even compare to my wife?”

The subordinate lowered his head, not saying anything, but inside, he was thinking that wasn’t exactly the case before

Stanley had treated Macy much better than Roxanne previously. After marrying Roxanne, his attitude toward her kept getting worse, and everyone assumed that he regretted marrying her

But the subordinate naturally didn’t dare voice his thoughts aloud. Instead, he hurriedly called

everyone to come back to work

However, now that so much time had passed, finding someone was like trying to find a needle in

haystack

Stanley searched tirelessly, day and night. Every time there was the tiniest lead, he would personally make the trip himself. But every time, it ended in disappointment

He had basically turned the whole of Brindley upside down, but there was still no trace of Roxanne. He wondered if she had left Brindley, but immigration records showed no record of her leaving

either

How could there be no trace of her? Unless she was dead, no one could escape a manhunt like this

He sat despondently in his office, going days without food. His stomach burned, and his heart throbbed with pain

Suddenly, Stanley’s assistant, Patrick Keers, rushed in frantically

Mr. Frey, it’s bad! Someone just posted a video of Mrs. Frey online! The content of the video isa little private. The comments section is going crazy. You need to take a look right now!”

Chapter 16

From Kidnap to Collapse: I’ll Ruin Their Paradise

From Kidnap to Collapse: I’ll Ruin Their Paradise

Status: Ongoing

1. Promised forever

Roxanne Reid endures a brutal labor and finally delivers by C-section. Between pain and delirium she swears she will cherish this child for the rest of her life — the baby becomes the promise that will define her future.

2. The baby is gone

When she wakes from surgery, the baby is nowhere to be found. Panic spikes through her like a physical blow: all the relief and tenderness she expected after birth vanish the moment the cot is empty.

3. The betrayal revealed

Her husband Stanley Frey calmly informs her the baby has been given away — not to a charity, not to an adoption agency, but to Macy, Oliver’s fiancée. The news lands like betrayal: he made the decision without her consent.

4. Roxanne fights through pain to demand answers

Bruised and exhausted from two days of labor, Roxanne forces herself up and demands to know where their child is. Her voice trembles with pain and fury; this is a mother’s instinct colliding with the realization of being overruled.

5. Stanley’s cold justification

Stanley explains — almost mechanically — that the Frey family “owes” Macy because Oliver died, and giving her the baby is repayment or compensation. He frames it as kindness, family duty, and social obligation rather than theft.

6. Anger, disbelief, isolation

Roxanne is stunned and rage fills her. The rationalizations infuriate her: Macy “sacrificed” for the family, so she should have a child. Roxanne realizes she’s been isolated — even her husband now treats her like an obstacle, not a partner.

7. Flashback to their courtship

The chapter flashes back: Stanley once pursued Roxanne relentlessly for two years, learned her likes, and won her heart. She loved him enough to cut ties with her own family. Their marriage once seemed unbreakable — he had promised she was the one line he’d never cross.

8. The line crossed

Everything shifted after Oliver’s death and Macy’s arrival. The man who vowed constancy now crosses the line and makes decisions that betray Roxanne’s trust. What was once devotion turns into cold calculation under family pressure.

9. A desperate ultimatum

When Stanley prepares to rush to Macy’s side — “she’s a first-time mom, she needs help” — Roxanne, through pain, grabs his sleeve and threatens divorce if he doesn’t bring the baby back. It’s a raw, vulnerable demand born of love and righteous fury.

10. Threats, power, and a cliffhanger

Stanley sneers and seizes control of the phone; he belittles her concerns as romantic-novel dramatics and warns her not to push him. He reminds her, chillingly, that he’s capable of taking action against her. The chapter ends with Roxanne reeling from betrayal and the reader left on a tense cliff — will she fight him, or be crushed by the family machinery?
