Chapter 15
1/2
Stanley tied Macy up.
She drifted in and out of consciousness, wracked with excruciating pain. Only now did she believe that he really wasn’t going to let her go. She sobbed and begged for mercy, hoping that Louis and Sapphire would show up at the house and save her.
Stanley clearly saw through her thoughts. He grabbed her phone and let out a cold laugh.
“My parents won’t come to save you. Thanks to you, they like you a lot, so they definitely won’t bother us when we’re busy in bed.
“Don’t worry. I’ll make sure you get pregnant. I want you to experience the pain of a C–section and the agony of the stitches tearing over and over. I want you to know what it feels like to watch the baby you struggled to give birth to slowly pass out from hunger because it’s unable to nurse.”
Macy stared at Stanley, stunned. How could such a strikingly handsome man say such cruel things?
At that moment, she’d rather be attending to the perverted 80–year–old man she had been with
before.
“That’ll be your child too,” she said, struggling. “The baby will be carrying the Frey family bloodline.
You can’t do this.”
Stanley took a drag of his cigarette and then pressed the burning end onto her arm. “A baby between a brother- and sister–in–law? A bastard like that won’t be worth keeping.
With that, he strode out of the room.
He packed up all his belongings, locked the door from the outside, and left his brother’s marital home. Staying there was a waste of time. He needed to oversee the search himself.
He had been deceived by Macy before, which had caused his attitude toward Roxanne to turn cold. Everyone thought he no longer loved her.
Now, he was going to tell the world that Roxanne had always been the woman he loved, and that only she was worthy of being his wife.
“It’s been so long, and you still haven’t found her? What’s the point of having all of you then?” Stanley roared, exploding in rage at the office.
He had only just found out that his subordinates hadn’t been seriously searching for Roxanne at all. Macy was afraid that Roxanne would be found, and so she had given everyone time off a long time
ago.
“Mr. Frey, you were the one who told us to fulfill all of Ms. Shaw’s wishes. All she asked was for us to
take some time off.”

Stanley gritted his teeth. “Who owns this company, exactly? And how can Ms. Shaw even compare to my wife?”
The subordinate lowered his head, not saying anything, but inside, he was thinking that wasn’t exactly the case before.
Stanley had treated Macy much better than Roxanne previously. After marrying Roxanne, his attitude toward her kept getting worse, and everyone assumed that he regretted marrying her.
But the subordinate naturally didn’t dare voice his thoughts aloud. Instead, he hurriedly called
everyone to come back to work.
However, now that so much time had passed, finding someone was like trying to find a needle in a
haystack.
Stanley searched tirelessly, day and night. Every time there was the tiniest lead, he would personally make the trip himself. But every time, it ended in disappointment.
He had basically turned the whole of Brindley upside down, but there was still no trace of Roxanne. He wondered if she had left Brindley, but immigration records showed no record of her leaving
either.
How could there be no trace of her? Unless she was dead, no one could escape a manhunt like this.
He sat despondently in his office, going days without food. His stomach burned, and his heart throbbed with pain.
Suddenly, Stanley’s assistant, Patrick Keers, rushed in frantically.
“Mr. Frey, it’s bad! Someone just posted a video of Mrs. Frey online! The content of the video is… a little private. The comments section is going crazy. You need to take a look right now!”
