From Kidnap to Collapse: I’ll Ruin Their Paradise 12

Chapter 12

Macy felt utterly wronged. Yes, she had orchestrated the kidnapping, but she had clearly only instructed the kidnappers to throw Roxanne into the open sea and hadn’t told anyone to take Roxanne away afterward

Now, she had no idea where Roxanne was. But she knew the kidnappers showing up here meant someone was clearly setting her up. Tearfully, she looked at Stanley

Stanley, I really don’t know. If you don’t believe me, let me go find Roxanne. I don’t care if I go without food, sleep, or anything. I’ll find her! Anyway, since Oliver isn’t by my side, it’s only fair that

I suffer a little”

She cried pitifully. Usually, this act would soften his heart. But this time, it didn’t work

Stanley’s presence was icy. His gaze at Macy was filled with nothing but scrutiny and anger, lacking the warmth and gentleness it once held

Sapphire anxiously stepped in front of Macy. Stan, why are you being so harsh on Macy? She’s been taking care of everything at home. Even if she made mistakes, I don’t think she did it on purpose

Do you have to make our home chaotic over another woman

It’s no big deal that the troublemaker, Roxanne, is gone. Legally, she has nothing to do with you anyway. Just seize the chance to focus on Macy and have a child with her. That’s what matters.”

Louis nodded in agreement. Enough is enough. It’s just about finding someone. Do you really need to go yourself, as the CEO of the company

I’ll send people to look for Roxanne. You just stay home and be with Macy

This man showed up randomly to frame her. Do you actually trust him? Macy’s upset right now and needs comfort. You’re not allowed to leave!”

Stanley couldn’t believe what he was hearing. He remembered that in the past, Roxanne had once told him, Sapphire and Louis are biased against me”

Back then, he didn’t believe her and even told her to be patient with them and to treat them with respect since they were getting older

It was only now that he realized how biased Louis and Sapphire really were toward their two daughtersinlaw. Taking a deep breath, he said firmly, Impossible! Rox is my wife. If she’s missing, there’s no way I’d just stay home and wait

As soon as I bring her back, I’ll divorce Macy and register my marriage with her. And don’t even think of using Oliver to manipulate me again!”

He shot a sharp glance at Macy

Pretending to sob, she lifted her head to sneak a look at him, and her heart skipped a beat

What had he realized from that look

Luckily, her inlaws were stupid. They’d already been completely under her control

Just moments ago, Sapphire had whispered to her that they had slipped something into Stanley’s water. After that night, he wouldn’t be able to turn her down

With this thought, she became confident again

Not wanting to interrupt, Louis and Sapphire quickly left

Stanley was about to leave, but he stumbled before reaching the door

Macy hurried forward to steady him, guiding him back into the room. Stanley, don’t be mad at me. It’s Louis and Sapphire who arranged for this. I tried to reason with them, but they wouldn’t listen”

She saw his eyes cloud over, reason slipping away, and his face flush as he shouted Roxanne’s name. Her smile froze for a moment, but she still wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed close, ignoring the flicker of disgust in his eyes

Chapter 13

From Kidnap to Collapse: I’ll Ruin Their Paradise

From Kidnap to Collapse: I’ll Ruin Their Paradise

Status: Ongoing

1. Promised forever

Roxanne Reid endures a brutal labor and finally delivers by C-section. Between pain and delirium she swears she will cherish this child for the rest of her life — the baby becomes the promise that will define her future.

2. The baby is gone

When she wakes from surgery, the baby is nowhere to be found. Panic spikes through her like a physical blow: all the relief and tenderness she expected after birth vanish the moment the cot is empty.

3. The betrayal revealed

Her husband Stanley Frey calmly informs her the baby has been given away — not to a charity, not to an adoption agency, but to Macy, Oliver’s fiancée. The news lands like betrayal: he made the decision without her consent.

4. Roxanne fights through pain to demand answers

Bruised and exhausted from two days of labor, Roxanne forces herself up and demands to know where their child is. Her voice trembles with pain and fury; this is a mother’s instinct colliding with the realization of being overruled.

5. Stanley’s cold justification

Stanley explains — almost mechanically — that the Frey family “owes” Macy because Oliver died, and giving her the baby is repayment or compensation. He frames it as kindness, family duty, and social obligation rather than theft.

6. Anger, disbelief, isolation

Roxanne is stunned and rage fills her. The rationalizations infuriate her: Macy “sacrificed” for the family, so she should have a child. Roxanne realizes she’s been isolated — even her husband now treats her like an obstacle, not a partner.

7. Flashback to their courtship

The chapter flashes back: Stanley once pursued Roxanne relentlessly for two years, learned her likes, and won her heart. She loved him enough to cut ties with her own family. Their marriage once seemed unbreakable — he had promised she was the one line he’d never cross.

8. The line crossed

Everything shifted after Oliver’s death and Macy’s arrival. The man who vowed constancy now crosses the line and makes decisions that betray Roxanne’s trust. What was once devotion turns into cold calculation under family pressure.

9. A desperate ultimatum

When Stanley prepares to rush to Macy’s side — “she’s a first-time mom, she needs help” — Roxanne, through pain, grabs his sleeve and threatens divorce if he doesn’t bring the baby back. It’s a raw, vulnerable demand born of love and righteous fury.

10. Threats, power, and a cliffhanger

Stanley sneers and seizes control of the phone; he belittles her concerns as romantic-novel dramatics and warns her not to push him. He reminds her, chillingly, that he’s capable of taking action against her. The chapter ends with Roxanne reeling from betrayal and the reader left on a tense cliff — will she fight him, or be crushed by the family machinery?
