Chapter 57 She Is Back at Stellar Group
“I’m sorry about the other night,” Julian said.
At that, Rosalie froze.
He continued, “I had back-to-back shifts at the station and was staying in the dorms. That’s why I didn’t
come over for dinner.”
So, that was it. Everything Julian said that night had just been words spoken in frustration. For some reason, Rosalie’s heart suddenly felt light and happy.
“It’s fine,” she said with a smile. “Next time, if you’re staying at the dorm, just tell me in advance so I won’t
make dinner for you.”
When she returned to her study and sat at her computer, the smile still lingered. She worked with focus until late at night, only rubbing her sore neck when she finally stepped out.
The living room was empty. Julian had already left.
But in the kitchen, the dishes were washed and neatly stacked on the rack. Even the stove had been wiped until it shone.
Feeling proud, Rosalie poured herself a glass of water and drank it all in one go. Then, she went to bed.
She slept soundly and woke up refreshed the next morning. She was in good spirits as she headed into
Stellar Group.
Just as Rosalie closed the stall door in the washroom, the click of high heels and a stream of flattering
voices came from outside.
“You’re amazing, Ms. Becker, Skyvault System was done so quickly… It’s a hundred times better than that useless Firmament System.”
“Exactly! That broken system keeps crashing every few days. Who knows how much money it cost the company? If she weren’t the chairman’s daughter, there’s no way trash like that would’ve been approved.”
In the middle of them, Camelia spoke in a gentle and modest tone, tinged with a sigh, “Alright, there’s no need to be so harsh on Rosalie. Firmament System does have many issues, but considering her abilities,
it wasn’t easy for her to get it that far.”
“Oh, please.” One of the women sneered, “Everyone only tolerates her because of her father. Who would dare say otherwise?”
“She’s nothing like you, Ms. Becker, You’re approachable and capable. I heard even Professor Fisher speaks highly of you and wants to take you under his wing!”
At that, Camelia let out a soft sigh, sounding humble. “Yes, Professor Fisher had expressed that, but I’d rather wait until Skyvault System is officially launched and for me to achieve something more substantial

before formally becoming his student.”
“Wow, Ms. Becker! You’re incredible!”

“Yeah, not like Rosalie. I heard she studied under Professor Fisher for years, but he ended up calling her a
lost cause. He was so angry that he refused to see her for years!”
“Oh, and didn’t she try to visit him again recently? She couldn’t even get through the door and was turned
away at the gate. Honestly, it’s pretty pathetic…”
At that moment, the sudden roar of a toilet flushing cut through their laughter, and silence fell instantly.
The stall door opened, and Rosalie walked out.
Her expression was calm, as though she had heard nothing. Then, she headed to the sink and turned on
the tap to wash her hands.
“Rosalie?” Camelia was the first to react. She stepped forward quickly with a forced, concerned smile. ”
You were in there? Why didn’t you say something? You scared us.”
Without looking up, Rosalie flatly said, “Do I need to announce myself every time I use the restroom?”
“Besides,” she looked up, her cold gaze sweeping across their guilty reflections in the mirror, “if you
haven’t done anything wrong, then why should my presence worry you? Next time you choose to gossip,
remember-walls have ears. Otherwise, no one would know why you’ve lost your tongues.”
With that, she walked out without looking back.
“W-What kind of attitude was that?” one of the women burst out, her face red with anger. “So what if she’s
Mr. Ashford’s daughter? Big deal! She was kicked out of Stellar Group, and now she’s only a tech director at some tiny company. Who is she trying to impress?”
“Exactly!” another woman barked. “Ms. Becker, she was being so disrespectful to you. You can’t just let
this slide.”
But Camelia frowned tightly, a trace of unease gnawing at her heart. “What was Rosalie doing back at Stellar Group?”
