Chapter 30 He Looks Exactly Like My Husband

“Mr. Yarwood, I’m so sorry about this. The lady didn’t mean to do it. Please don’t take it to heart!”

The cocktail party organizer smiled as he pulled Rosalie to the side.

Yarwood?

She was a little dazed. Was this man the enigmatic scion of the Yarwood family? And he had the same family name as her husband and somewhat resembled him?

A wild, ridiculous idea popped into Rosalie’s mind.

Was it like something from the novels? Maybe they were siblings. One of them was groomed to take over the family business, while the other was left to his own devices.

Rosalie was still stunned when the man had already walked past her, and he didn’t even bat an eye at her.

Richard came over and asked, feeling concerned, “Ms. Howard, are you okay? You almost gave me a heart attack. That man is the scion of the Yarwood family. Are you alright?”

Rosalie nodded and spoke in a dazed voice. “I’m fine.”

Once she snapped out of it, she immediately grabbed her phone and dialed Julian’s phone. It rang for a long time, but no one answered it.

Pursing her lips, she tapped on her phone screen and sent a message.

“Do you have a sibling by the name of Charles Yarwood?”

Meanwhile, the scion of the Yarwood family had gone into the VIP room at the end of the party hall, leisurely sinking into the couch. He fiddled with his phone, exuding an aura so intimidating that no one

dared approach him.

Several bodyguards in black uniforms guarded the door and blocked out all inquisitive gazes.

Rosalie’s view was obstructed, and she couldn’t see anything. That was when her phone vibrated. She hurriedly picked it up, and she saw the notification popping up on her screen.

“I don’t have siblings. I’m an only child. Why do you ask?”

Rosalie stared at her phone screen. Her bold assumption had been disproved.

“You might not believe this, but I just saw a man at a cocktail party who looks exactly like you. And get this, he is the scion of the Yarwood family.”

She got an instant reply.

“Oh. The others have pointed the same thing out to me as well.”

Rosalie’s last bit of suspicion vanished when she read Julian’s nonchalant reply. That made sense,

actually. She let her wild imagination get to her.

Charles was the ruthless scion of the Yarwood family with a net worth of over 100 billion dollars. How could someone like him have been a firefighter who lived in a small apartment, ate cup noodles, and

didn’t even have a car?

It had to be a coincidence.

Rosalie was about to tuck her phone away when she heard a commotion in the crowd, and someone gave her a hard shove from behind.

“Eek!”

She stumbled, and one of her high heels twisted, sending her falling into the half-open VIP room.

Charles was sitting leisurely on the couch, but he immediately looked up and gazed at Rosalie. His gaze

was cold and sharp, striking fear into the hearts of people.

Rosalie’s heart skipped a beat, but she quickly composed herself. She steadied herself and smiled awkwardly. Now that it had come to this, she decided to seize the opportunity.

Stepping forward swiftly, she pulled her business card from her pouch and handed it to Charles with both

hands.

“Mr. Yarwood, I’m sorry for disturbing you. I’m Vertex Tech’s director, and I’d like the chance to secure a

bidding right for Vista Furnishings.”

Charles didn’t take the business card. In fact, he didn’t even raise his eyes to look at her. He merely

leaned on the couch and fiddled with his phone absentmindedly, exuding an intimidating air.

Meanwhile, Reuben’s forehead was covered in sweat when he saw the look on Charles’ face, not daring to

utter a single word.

Rosalie’s hands hung awkwardly in midair. She felt a little awkward, but she didn’t flinch.

“I’m aware that Vista Furnishings wants to create a smart home system. By using deep learning

algorithms and loT sensor networks, we can achieve truly predictive and adaptive living experiences.

“Also, I’m the one who designed Stellar Group’s Firmament System.”

At this point, Charles’ hand suddenly froze.
