Chapter 109 His Kissing Skills Are Far Better Than Lucian’s
Rosalie jolted awake, her mind snapping back to reality.
Her face burned bright red. Flustered, she scrambled off Julian’s thigh and quickly slid back
into her seat.
She kept her head bowed, too mortified to even glance in his direction.
A tense silence settled over the table. From the neighboring booth, Lucian deliberately raised his voice, letting each word hang in the air.
“Melia, once I’m done with these next few days, I’ll go abroad and bring your mother back. It’s time we started planning for our wedding. We certainly can’t have some people stuck in their absurd delusions.”
Camelia spoke gently, “Wow, Lucian, you’ve really thought this through. My mom would be thrilled with our wedding arrangements.”
Lucian snorted. “Of course, she would. After all, I’m not like some men who live off others. I won’t rush into a whirlwind marriage and completely ignore my bride’s parents. A man who lacks even the simplest manners hardly deserves to be called a man.”
Meanwhile, Rosalie’s mind was far from them.
Her head was still spinning.
The only thing she could think about was the kiss she’d just shared with Julian.
While she had kissed Lucian countless times, none of his kisses had ever left her feeling this
tense and alive.
Julian’s lips were warm.
When they met hers, it felt as if her heart had been jolted.
He had lightly nipped her upper lip, his tongue brushing teasingly against her teeth.
The sensation was far more intense than any kiss she had ever shared with Lucian.
For a fleeting moment, Rosalie even concluded that his kissing skills were far better than
Lucian’s.
Perhaps it all had to do with that impressive ex–girlfriend of his.
Across from her, Julian was also reliving the memory of that kiss, savoring its every detail.
Rosalie’s lips were smooth and supple.

They were like jelly, drawing him in with the faintest touch.
Even the slightest contact was enough to ignite a storm of desire in him, pushing his self- control to the breaking point.
Without a word, Julian picked up the glass of ice water in front of him and downed it in one go.
Just as he tried to suppress the fire raging in his chest, a shout echoed from the neighboring table.
“Lucian! Are you okay? Drink some water!”
Rosalie snapped back to reality, her mischievous thoughts scattering in an instant.
She didn’t dare glance back. All she could hear were the frantic footsteps of the waiter hurrying past.
“Sir, what happened?” the waiter asked, his voice full of concern.
“He swallowed a fishbone by mistake!” Camelia said, her voice trembling.
“Sir, try drinking some more water. If that doesn’t help, you’ll need to go to the hospital right away!” the waiter advised.
Lucian silently drank two cups of ice water. The cold liquid worked its way down, loosening the constriction in his throat bit by bit.
With tears welling up, Camelia quickly apologized, “Lucian, I’m so sorry… It’s all my fault for not removing the fishbones properly.”
Lucian gently reassured her, “It’s not your fault. These hands of yours aren’t meant for such trivial tasks.”
His tone hardened as he turned toward the waiter. “You don’t need to help. There’s someone here far more qualified than you.”
Without a second thought, he picked up the plate of grilled fish and placed it in front of
Rosalie.
He looked down at her with a superior air. “Rosalie, if you manage to pick every fishbone out of this plate, I’ll forgive your behavior from earlier and continue treating you like a little sister.
He cast a disdainful glance at Julian and added, “I’ll even help you find a man a hundred times better than this freeloading parasite sitting next to you.”
