Chapter 106 Lucian’s and Julian’s Matching Outfits
Rosalie listened quietly.
“I’ve been thinking about going abroad to find Gertrude, but she refuses to answer my calls. I need to meet her face–to–face.
“I don’t understand why your father treats Camelia better than he treats you. Plus, that money
he transferred overseas-
Abigail’s voice faltered. Choked with emotion, she couldn’t continue.
Suddenly, Rosalie felt something wet on her arm.
Abigail was crying.
Rosalie’s heart clenched, and she quickly sat up. “Mom, it’s not a good idea to go alone. You should hire a detective instead. Julian happens to have a friend who runs a very reliable
agency. Maybe he can help us uncover the truth.”
Abigail froze for a moment. With a nod, she brushed away her tears.
“Alright, I’ll listen to you.” Looking at Rosalie, her eyes were clouded with both relief and
sadness.
“But this is something you don’t need to worry about. Focus on your company and your exams. I’ll keep you informed as soon as I learn anything.”
The following morning, Rosalie reached out to Julian for Edmond’s contact information. After receiving it, she quickly forwarded the details to Abigail.
In the following days, Rosalie immersed herself in the process of rebuilding Vertex Tech.
Amidst all of this, she made time to visit Manfred.
Manfred scowled. “Looks like you haven’t forgotten I’m your mentor, huh? I was sure you’d leave me in the dust once you got the hang of the Firmament System.”
Rosalie couldn’t help but feel both amused and exasperated. She quickly served the finest tea, using every trick in the book to try and calm Manfred down.
The two of them soon found themselves buried in the study. They dove into an intense discussion about how to integrate the Firmament System into search–and–rescue drone technology.
By the weekend, Rosalie had plans to head downtown to buy some tools for her research and

development.
She had also arranged to meet Ursula.

But when she arrived at the location, she was surprised to see a tall, slender figure waiting for
her.
Today, Julian wasn’t wearing his usual T–shirt and work pants.
Instead, he sported a light gray short–sleeved shirt. It was the very one she’d bought for him just a few days ago.
The tight fabric molded to his chest and arms, highlighting the sharp contours of his muscles. There was an undeniable air of masculinity about him.
His matching cargo shorts revealed his well–toned calves, while the black sneakers lent him a wild, roguish charm.
Rosalie stood frozen, her eyes fixed on him in a daze.
Suddenly, Julian stepped closer, his towering presence overwhelming her. In a heartbeat, she snapped back to reality.
A blush spread across her cheeks. She hastily looked away and murmured, “Hello, Mr.
Yarwood.”
Turning around, she frantically texted Ursula. “Hey, Ursula, where on earth are you right now?
Ursula’s reply came almost instantly. “Babe, you’re married now. Stop calling me for every little thing. Enjoy your time with your husband. I’ve got your back, but that’s it!”
Rosalie blinked in surprise.
Taking a deep breath, she turned back and managed a polite smile.
“Have you… had lunch yet?”
Julian’s dark eyes met hers, a flicker of amusement dancing in them.
“Ursula said you booked a restaurant. She just told me to meet you here.”
Rosalie’s smile froze.
What else could she possibly say at this point?
Reluctantly, she led the uninvited Julian to the seafood restaurant she’d reserved.
Located on the top floor, the upscale venue exuded a calm and sophisticated vibe.
Rosalie chose a window seat with a panoramic view of the city. After ordering a few signature

dishes, she slid the menu across to Julian.
“You should order something you like too.”
Julian picked up the menu, his fingers casually flipping through the pages.
He gave it a quick glance, showing little to no interest.
After what felt like forever, he still hadn’t made a choice.
Rosalie felt a pang in her chest.
The 50–dollar seafood chowder was the cheapest option available.

Julian’s modest salary came to mind. Maybe he’d never been to such an expensive restaurant
before.
For a split second, Rosalie felt a rush of sympathy. “I’m a member here, so I get a discount. Order whatever you like. It’s on me,” she offered.
As soon as the words left her mouth, she heard the polite greeting of a waiter welcoming a guest at the entrance.
Only the wealthy and influential could afford to dine here. Rosalie instinctively turned her head to see who it was.
But as soon as she spotted the new arrival, her smile faltered. She muttered a curse under her
breath.
Lucian had just walked in, with Camelia affectionately clinging to his arm.
To make matters worse, Lucian’s light gray T–shirt and cargo shorts were identical to Julian’s.
