Chapter 105 This Man
Inside the bathroom, Julian clutched the edge of the sink, his breath coming in shallow,
uneven gasps.
In the mirror, his flushed face and clenched jawline reflected back at him.
A pink toothbrush and a whimsical cat–ear headband rested on the counter. Meanwhile, the air was thick with Rosalie’s sweet fragrance, lingering in every corner of the room.
With a frustrated sigh, Julian twisted the faucet open, splashing cold water over his face.
But no matter how hard he tried, the image of Rosalie’s smile and her soft, delicate skin
wouldn’t leave his mind.
A wave of heat spread through his body, threatening to cloud his judgment.
He couldn’t understand it. He’d always kept women at arm’s length and even found them repulsive at times.
But why was it that Rosalie had such a hold on him?
In the end, Julian yanked open the frosted glass door and stepped under the stream of water.
Despite the cold rushing over him, it barely managed to dull the fire that blazed inside.
The sound of water pounding against the tiles echoed sharply through the small apartment.
In the living room, Rosalie stood frozen, her mind racing in disbelief.
Was this man truly this easy to arouse?
After what felt like an eternity, the water finally stopped, and the bathroom door slid open.
Julian emerged, a towel wrapped around his waist.
It was her pink towel.
He stood bare–chested, droplets of water shimmering on his sun–kissed skin. His abs were chiseled, leading down to a deep V–line that tapered into his waist.
Despite the water dripping from his damp hair, his face remained unmoved.
“The weather’s been a bit too warm, so I decided to take a shower,” he said. After a brief
pause, he added, “You don’t mind, do you?”
Rosalie’s gaze flickered over his firm abs. Her cheeks flushed as she hurriedly shook her head.
Just as Julian turned to head for the door, something popped into her mind. “Wait a second,”

she called out.
With that, she went into the bedroom and came back with a shopping bag in hand.
She handed him the bag, her gaze drifting to the side. “I noticed you usually stick to T–shirts… So, I thought I’d grab a couple of outfits for you.”
Julian’s attention shifted from her flushed earlobes to the bag she was holding.
After a long pause, he slowly reached out to take it.
As he did, his fingertips accidentally brushed the back of her hand. The brief contact made them both freeze.
“Thanks,” Julian murmured, his voice steady and low.
But inside, something seemed to pierce his heart, sparking a whirlwind of emotions that tore through him.
The following day, Rosalie reached out to Hilda, the housekeeper who had cared for her since she was a child.
Later that afternoon, Hilda and Abigail arrived.
As soon as she stepped inside and saw the tiny apartment, Hilda’s eyes filled with tears.
It was smaller than the bathroom at the Ashford residence.
“Ms. Ashford, you’ve never had to endure something like this before. I can’t imagine how you’ve managed all this time,” Hilda said.
Abigail, however, remained silent. She quietly moved through the apartment, inspecting every
corner.
It was a two–bedroom unit, with one room repurposed as a study. The space was overflowing with books and scattered equipment.
Puzzled, she asked, “Wait, didn’t Ursie say you and Julian were living together? Where does he sleep?”
With a sigh, Rosalie gestured toward the ceiling. “He stays upstairs. We’re not living together.” A look of disappointment crossed Abigail’s face.
She turned to Hilda and said, “This place is too small. I’ll buy the apartment next door, and you can move in there. Just make sure not to disturb Rosalie and Julian.”
Hilda immediately understood, a knowing smile spreading across her face. “Alright, Mrs. Ashford. I understand!”

Rosalie was left momentarily stunned.
That night, Abigail stayed over.
As she lay beside Abigail on the same bed, Rosalie felt as if she had slipped back into her childhood.
“It’s been so long since we slept like this,” Abigail said with a soft sigh.
Turning onto her side, she couldn’t help but gaze at Rosalie’s profile. “You’re all grown up now. I suppose you won’t want to sleep in the same bed with me anymore.”
A wave of emotion surged in Rosalie’s chest.
She pulled Abigail closer, burying her face against her.
“Of course not,” Rosalie said, her voice thick with emotion. “Whenever you miss me, just come over. I’ll always be here to sleep beside you.”
Abigail laughed, tapping her nose. “If I came over every day, Julian would be sick of me in no time.”
“He wouldn’t,” Rosalie replied, lifting her eyes. “Once I reclaim Stellar Group, I’ll stay with you. It’ll just be the two of us in our own little world.”
At the mention of Stellar Group, Abigail’s smile faded, leaving behind only a sense of weariness and guilt.
“I’m sorry, Rosa. This is all my fault.
“Even though I fought with your father, he refuses to let go.
“I never imagined he could be so shameless…
“These days, it feels like I’m discovering a whole new side of him for the first time.”
