Chapter 47Â
Bailey’s powÂ
I’m breathing hastily as Kaleb kisses me slowly. It was a tender and something about this one was very differÂ
It felt like a silent conversation between the two of us. A conversation where we both agree to be each other’sÂ
It felt like we were in our own little bubble. Just me and him. Us. Just us two. No one else, just usÂ
But sometimes a happy little bubble doesn’t last. Sometimes things happen to poke it. And pop, it’s gone.Â
The sharp sound of his ringtone or was it mine? I wasn’t sure. But it screeched in the air like a dying horse.Â
Breaking the warm feeling both Kaleb and I were surrounded byÂ
Kaleb pulls away with a groan, cinses. “Fuck. I guess our time is up flower.”Â
He pecked my lips, groaned again and swept in for another slow kiss, only to be interrupted yet again.Â
“Dammit.” He barked and sat up. Pulling his phone out of his pocket.Â
Irive into a sitting position, balancing myself on my elbows while he furrowed his brows down at the screen.Â
“It’s Stefan.” He said, not that he needed to tell me but he did. He answers on the fifth ring, his eyes set on mine while he speaks.Â
“Then drive her yourself”Â
“No.”Â
“Fuck!Â
fine. I’ll be down in a second.”Â
“Give me a fucking minute man.” Kaleb ends the call and buried his head in his hands.Â
Worried, I asked him softly.” is everything okay?”Â
He rubbed his head and nod. “Yes”Â
He then gets off the bad and says over his shoulder.“You should probably wait a little bit before coming down.”Â
“Kaleb I called before he opened the door. I’m already fixing my clothes, now feeling dirty and used.Â
What happened to the sweet boy who kissed me like his life depended on it?Â
Was this all an act to have his way with me again?Â
What about his words?Â
blinked as felt the sting of incoming fears.Â
What about him saying was his? Were they just that, words?Â
My heart aches and breathed in when he stops but clutched the handle. “I’ll tell you about it later. I have to go before my sister gets here, she’s already on her way”Â
With that he leaves and I quickly rise to my feet, clenching my fists.Â
That’s it?Â

That’s alltÂ
AssholeÂ
I knew I shouldn’t have trusted him again.Â
Stupid stupid Bailey!Â
I pressed my lips into a tight frown and instead of heading to the door I went to the balcony, if anything all I need now is the cool air to raw mÂ
If Mira was on her way as he said,Â
said, then showing her how upset I was,Â
I was, wasn’t a wise idea. Not when her brother was the cause and she’d dig in until sheÂ
know what or who upset me.Â
Mira was relentless when she had something to prove or know. Which is why I was scared that she’d find out about Kaleb and me.Â
Myfrown deepened is there even a Kaleb and me don’t think so.Â
ishook my head and clutched the railing, looking at the mass of teens on the lawns.Â
Why did I come here again?Â
As the question rang in my head my eyes caught sight of him. Him and someone else.Â
He’s holding her, cradling her to him as one of her arms curl around his neck to hold him. He’s moving swiftly to his vehicle and I’m clutching the railing so hard im afraid I’d bend it.Â
Kaleb has Juliet in his arms and is rushing her to his vehicle. A little part of me wished he’d look back, as though he could somehow sense my gaze on hisÂ
But he doesn’t. He pushes her in the front seat and straps herÂ
I blinked and turned around, unable to watch them. He left me for her. Is this what he didn’t want to tell me? He was going to bring her home?Â
ibet toÂ
o spend the night.Â
As turned around the door opens, sound from downstairs travels here and I quickly push down my emotions when I saw Mira and Katrina.Â
Mira looks mad, the lines on her forehead revealing her waxation. She stormed toward me and Katrina winced.Â
For a second I thought she knew and fear clutched me.Â
“I can’t believe you let us down here all alone!” She raged and even though she was mad, I felt relieved. The only one who stopped me from coming up to drag you back down is Katrina. She came to check up on you.”Â
turn to Katrina and my heart thuds, if she came up to check up on me, did that mean she saw Kaleb leave the room?Â
She was alone and wanted a breather Mira. Parties aren’t her thing and you know it.” Katrina uttered, looking at me with a little knowing smile, turning to Mira her eyes narrowed.Â
Besides, no one questioned your whereabouts when you left me with Stefan Katrina brows raised as she studied Mira who blushed.Â
Finding the opportunity to remove the questions off me, I took it, besides, I am curious. “So where did you go Mira? Or should I asÂ
whom?”Â
I crossed my arms and tilted my head, my eyebrows litted as a smile spread on my face. It was better to tease her for her to forget about questioning mÂ
Mira flushed harder and stuttered. “With no one! Then she pointed at me.“Hey don’t think you’re off the hook yet. And why was the door not locked! Anyone could’ve barged in.”Â
I bit into my lip and looked at Katrina, hoping she’d carry on with the lie. “I forgot to lock it back after Katra came to check up on me”Â

Mira scowled. “Something could’ve happened to you Bails. Parties aren’t exactly sale. “Â
“We could say the same thing for you Mirabell” Katrina teased, making Mira groanÂ
Katrina and I both laughed at her annoyed expression.Â
* Thate when you two gang up on me.” She whined. “I’m already annoyed at that Juliet bitch. Saw my brother carrying her. I bet to sleep with her Asshole can never keep his dick in his pants. Now I have to give Stelan a hundred bucks.”Â
She cussed under her breath, her mouth turning into a flat annoyed line.Â
Katrina looked at Mira. “Did you bet on the two……Â
Mira nod. “I didn’t think he’d be stupid enough to go back to her. That girl was a bitch, Stefan said he was still in love with her, I guess he isÂ
Then she smacked her head with her palm and cussed. “Dammit. Of course he knew, they’re friends. That idiot knew he’d win. Kaleb must’ve told them that he still had feelings for herÂ
She didn’t know her words were hurting me deeply, but I couldn’t blame her, I did this to myself and I thought I was better than this..Â
Lam better than this.Â
AÂ
Sucking in some air, I grumble. “Guess he’ll stop being a buge dick now that she’s back. He finally found someone worth it enough to settle”Â
Mira snorted.” Sottle. I said fuck girl. But lets see if Juliet can make him settle again.”Â
I shrugged. “If anyone can do it, it would be her. He fell for her once, he can do it again.”Â
“Not when he’s in love with someone else Bailey.” Katrina voice cut in.Â
