Chapter81

After sending Sandria home, Fulbert immediately dialed a number.

“Haven’t you always wanted that vacation villa at Mount Greenley? I’ve thought it over-I can give it to you, but you have to help me investigate something.”

The person on the other end of the line was shocked and overjoyed.

“You’re finally willing to let go? Tell me, what important matter is worth you bribing me with a villa?”

Albert Sherman was a friend Fulbert had met abroad. He ran a detective agency, specializing in all kinds of investiga-

tions.

This time, asking for his help was a decision Fulbert had made after much deliberation.

Fulbert told him the key points of what had happened the previous day.

Albert was silent for a long time before joking with a laugh, “So, just for Sandria, you’re willing to pay such a high price to have me investigate the mastermind behind this? By doing this, you’re helping Shield Technologies.”

“Bert, is all this really worth it for you?”

Fulbert’s voice turned cold.

“I know whether it’s worth it or not. If you don’t want the job, I can find someone else.”

“Fine, fine, I’ll take the job.”

The next day.

Sandria once again appeared at Shield Technologies in her professional attire.

Her long, wavy hair cascaded over her shoulders, and the pencil skirt perfectly accentuated her graceful figure. The sound of her high heels striking the floor was captivating.

Arriving at the Technical Security Department, Sandria, as usual, uploaded the prepared security net to the depart- ment’s computer, then got ready for the next round of testing.

But half an hour later, new vulnerabilities were detected during the retest.

A young man in his early twenties from the department, named Javion Buchanan, stepped forward and sneered, “I thought you were something special, but it turns out you’re just so-so. This security net is full of holes.”

“Yeah, you only got into our company because of your looks. Your skills just aren’t up to par. Look at these obvious vulnerabilities in the security net-who makes such rookie mistakes? I knew it, you’re in cahoots with Mr. Carson. Maybe you’re a traitor trying to bring down our company.”

Hearing this, Sandria frowned slightly.

She tapped a few times on the computer system with her fingers.

Indeed, the security net that had been produced did have several vulnerabilities.

But… this wasn’t the code she had put on her USB drive at all.

So, did someone secretly swap out her code just now? And that person was most likely an accomplice of Zaiden.

After figuring it out, Sandria looked around the room. She stood up calmly, showing not the slightest hint of panic.

“If there are vulnerabilities in what I delivered, it’s because someone among you tampered with it.”

Sandria stepped forward and pointed at the data on the computer screen.

“Anyone who knows the field understands that vulnerabilities in a security net can’t just be added in a short time. They have to be injected with other data during the formation process, which takes time.”

“Clearly, the problem lies with your company’s computers.”

Sandria sent out several strings of code. “If you don’t believe me, feel free to check for yourselves.”

As soon as she finished speaking, Javion spoke up again.

“Check for what? Why are you still making excuses? Mr. Carson betrayed the company, and you’re one of us-who knows if you’re working together?”

Sandria narrowed her eyes slightly, about to speak.

At that moment, “Ding-”

A notification sounded from her phone at just the right time.

Sandria glanced at it and saw that Fulbert had sent her a video, along with a message.

“I hope this video can help you.”

She raised an eyebrow and opened the video. Inside, Zaiden was tied up tightly, his face battered and bruised, covered in blood, and missing several teeth-a truly miserable sight.
