Knowing that Lynette was just showing her concern–and besides, she didn’t need anyone to support her, Lynette was simply genuinely happy for her the two of them clinked glasses and drank.
A few drinks in.
With her eyes sparkling, Sandria’s red lips looked as if they were coated with grapefruit gloss, shining brightly.
Her gaze was enchanting as she sat there, looking like a true enchantress.
But just then, a voice suddenly rang out over the noisy music.
“Come on, Tino, how long has it been since you drank with us here? Since you finally made it today, we can’t leave until we’re all drunk!”
“Yeah, no one leaves until we’re all drunk!”
A group of people, arms around each other’s shoulders, passed by in front of them.
Sandria glanced over and saw Florentino among them. She ignored him completely and continued drinking, her ex- pression unchanged.
But just as the wind won’t stop for the forest’s stillness, someone was determined not to let her have peace.
One of the men, with a buzz cut, suddenly jumped out and spoke with a grin.
“Hey, isn’t that your ex–wife, Tino? What a coincidence!”
With that one sentence, everyone’s attention was drawn over.
Florentino narrowed his eyes. Sandria was still as stunning as ever, bewitching and captivating.
Thinking of how she had blocked his calls and messages, deliberately hid her identity, and embarrassed him at so many high–society events, trampling the Burnham family’s reputation underfoot.
For a moment, his feelings were a complicated mix.
Could this be her way of getting back at him?
“Tino, aren’t you going to say hi to her? You two had a thing, after all. Even if you broke up, as men, shouldn’t we be more magnanimous than a woman?”
The buzz–cut man, Shane Stuart, joked with a smile, nudging Florentino’s arm.
Everyone had seen the news, but who could have connected the old Sandria with the current heiress of the Schroeder

With so many people around, Florentino’s eyes flashed and he let out a cold laugh. “She’s climbed up the social ladder now, of course she wouldn’t look at me anymore. Why would she bother with me?”
“What, climbed up the ladder?”
Shane snorted, his disdainful gaze sweeping over Sandria several times.
“She was just a low–level model at your company. Frankly, Tino, you were the best she could ever hope for in this life, and she still dared to be unfaithful?!”
Hearing this, the people around them started to jeer as well.
“Yeah, just a small–time print model. Tino even liking her before was the luckiest thing that ever happened to her. How long can someone who sleeps their way up really last?”
“If she really did climb up the ladder, what kind of person could she be? After all those years with Tino, she’s already been used up. Now only old men with one foot in the grave would want her!”
One belittling remark after another rained down on her.
Sandria’s face remained composed, the curve of her red lips unchanged.
Lynette, however, was already fuming. She stood up to argue, “What kind of crap are you all spouting…”
But Sandria grabbed her. “Don’t get worked up. If a dog bites you, are you going to bite back?”
“You! How dare you call us dogs!”
Shane was the first to react, clenching his fist and stepping forward, a vicious look flashing across his face.
“What?”
Sandria stood up, her aura radiating as she stepped forward in her high heels.
Her fox–like eyes were full of mockery as she stared at the fist about to fall. “So you admit you’re a dog? People really do take things personally these days.”
After scolding Shane, Sandria turned to Florentino, swirled the glass in her hand, and suddenly flung its contents for- ward.
The crimson liquid splashed all over Florentino’s face.
