She had given in and played along every time. 

But today, she snatched a tissue box next to her hand and smashed it into his face hard. 

As he grimaced in pain, she quickly distanced herself from him and looked at him coldly. 

“Mr. Burnham, we’re done. I can do whatever I want, and you have no say at all. Or … you weren’t satisfied last night and want to try it again?” 

Being reminded of last night’s humiliation, he pulled a long face, his expression darkening. 

“Sandria, be good. Or I’ll get mad. I mean it. 

“Now, come here and kiss me.” 

With a tug at his restrictive black bowtie, Florentino spread his arms, exuding an air of arrogant dominance and rogu- 

ish charm. 

Sandria had been with him since the age of eighteen. With a snap of his fingers, she’d always crawl back to him no matter how upset she was. 

But Sandria only found his words ridiculous. 

Suddenly, her gaze drifted over to a point just past his shoulder, and she smiled slyly. 

“Are you sure you want me to kiss you?” 

Last night’s pent–up need, coupled with what had happened at the banquet earlier, finally overrode his control. 

Facing her allure, he immediately stepped forward, trying to kiss her forcibly. 

This time, she didn’t dodge. 

She let him pull her into his arms and grip her chin. But the second before his lips touched hers, she called out softly, “Ms. Mosley.” 

His boy froze at once. 

“Tino? What are you doing?” 

All color leached from Courtney’s face. At the same time, Florentino shoved Sandria away and straightened his collar with a displeased frown, as if he had been the one violated. 

“You really think such lame tricks would work with me? 

“Courty, hear me out. It’s her…”

288 Vouchers 

Knowing Florentino wanted her to take the blame, Sandria cut him off, having no intention of letting him get his way. “Mr. Burnham had too much to drink. Ms. Mosley, you may wanna keep a closer eye on him, or else misunderstand- ings like this may happen again.” 

When saying this, she caught a glimpse of a man standing in the hallway. All she could see was his arm as well as that unique watch. 

Smiling, she walked past Courtney. 

“If my boyfriend sees this and gets the wrong idea, it’ll take me ages to make it up to him.” 

She approached the door and acted surprised to see Fulbert. With a charming smile, she immediately walked over to him and took his arm. 

“Honey, are you waiting for me? I blame you–you got me so thirsty. I drank way too much juice.” 

Her suggestive words enraged Florentino, who clenched his fists tightly. 

However, sensing Courtney’s suspicious gaze, he could only suppress his emotions and pulled her into his arms, act- ing drunk and demanding a kiss. Yet Sandria’s lingering fragrance filled his senses, and all he could think about was her rosy lips and captivating eyes. 

Once reaching the hallway’s end, Sandria pulled back her arm and waved at Fulbert. 

“Thanks for playing along today, Mr. Ortega. I’ll treat you to a meal later. See you.” 

Now that she had messed with today’s party, she had no intention of going back to the venue. 

Perhaps Florentino would flaunt his sickening affection with Courtney in front of everyone later, which would make her skin crawl. 

She turned to leave without waiting for Fulbert’s response. 

Walking through the side door, she headed to the parking lot, yet the faint cologne behind her lingered. 

She stopped, turned around, and looked at Fulbert, who was only a few steps away from her. 

“Mr. Ortega, what do you mean? The party isn’t over yet. Why are you following me?” 

Fulbert looked down at her, his intense gaze fixed on her face. 

“You proposed to continue. Are you playing with me again?” 

She choked.
