Chapter 6 

They instinctively turned to look at Florentino. His wife publicly seduced his friend, who was Fulbert, no less. How unthinkable. 

Though they socialized with Florentino and Fulbert a lot, Fulbert’s background remained a secret. 

All they knew was he was in finance, reticent, and kept his distance from women. No one dared to guess the sums he commanded at all. 

The custom–made watch on his wrist alone was worth seven figures, and it was the only one in the world. 

Any woman would fall for him in a heartbeat. 

What was even more surprising was that Sandria managed to be the woman next to him. 

But Sandria herself had anticipated his reaction to be like this. After what he had done last night, apparently, she knew for a fact that he wasn’t fear having a fallout with Florentino. 

She said with a charming smile, “I drank too much last night. Promise me you won’t let me near alcohol today. Come with me to fetch some juice, alright?” 

Her words were so suggestive that the onlookers found it hard to process. 

Before they realized what was going on, Fulbert nodded again. 

“Alright. Whatever you say.” 

Their interaction was so natural and intimate. Furious, Florentino couldn’t hold back any longer and was about to step forward to question them. 

Just then, Courtney pulled his sleeve. “Tino, what’s gotten into you? Who is she? It seems you care about her a lot.” 

Snapping out of it, he could only suppress his fury and coaxed her gently, “I don’t know. Why would I care about a stranger?” 

As if trying to get back at Sandria, he pulled Courtney into his arms and nuzzled her nose playfully. 

“Silly, you’re overthinking it. Are you jealous?” 

Courtney glanced at his handsome face before nestling into his arms, a rosy hue spreading across her cheeks. 

Those around them teased, “Mr. Burnham, Ms. Mosley, you’re such a sweet couple. We’re all getting green–eyed.” 

Regaining his composure, Florentino nodded in response, while his gaze turned razor–sharp as he looked over to San- dria, who wasn’t far away.

Chapter 6 

Their eyes met. 

Suddenly, she curved her lips into a charming smile, tugging at his heartstrings.

Then she slowly stood on tiptoe and leaned close to Fulbert’s ear, her rosy lips almost brushing against his earlobe. 

“Shall we continue our unfinished business?” 

Stunned, Fulbert turned abruptly. The tips of their noses bumped, and their lips were only centimeters away. 

It was exactly what Sandria wanted. She then wrapped her arms around his neck and smiled brightly, making every- one think she was going to kiss him next. 

In the next second, he placed his hands on her slender waist and pulled her closer to him. 

His warm breath brushed against her cheeks, tickling her. 

“Here?” he asked. 

Suddenly, his undeniable dominance from last night, while he pinned her against the wall, resurfaced in her mind, and she couldn’t help but flinch a little. 

With a smile, she pushed him away playfully. It wasn’t until she had drained the entire glass that her heart finally stopped racing. 

Just as she set down the glass, he handed her another glass of juice. 

“Are you this thirsty?” 

His deep, captivating voice made her throat tighten. 

She had every reason to believe he was doing this on purpose. 

She grabbed the glass and gulped down half of the juice in one go. 

“I need to use the restroom.” 

After saying this, she stuffed the glass back into his hand and hurried away. 

As she was retouching her makeup in front of the mirror, Florentino stormed into the restroom, pinned her against the sink, and slid his hand through the high slit of her dress. 

“Sandria, you’re deliberately trying to piss me off, aren’t you? Do you have any idea what you’re doing?” 

He leaned down to kiss her fiercely, 

It wasn’t the first time he had acted this rough.
