Chapter 41 

Eric stood outside his apartment having a smoke when his partner Marco came out to join him. 

“What are we going to do about that guy Eric?” Marco asked. “Seeing how he ran into the station yesterday, there’s no doubt that the police will be looking out for us now.” Marco said, then he took a long draw from his cigar. 

“Nothing’s going to stop us from carrying out this mission Marco, not even the police, after all they don’t know our identity, that’s a point for us, we’re taking so much time to complete this deal and I wouldn’t want any issues with Bianca, she called not quite long and I didn’t even have the confidence to take her call due to the fact that we’re yet to get this whole thing done and over with, yet we haven’t!” He spat in annoyance. 

“Well you can’t blame us, the first attack didn’t go as planned and the second one too, that damn man managed to get away.” 

Eric turned to face Marco. “And whose fault is it huh? You should have been careful since you were the one driving, but you made it so obvious that we were following him.” He said angrily. 

Marco was shocked by his sudden outburst. “Hold on, don’t try to pin this on me, 

I-” 

“Enough!!” Eric instantly cut him off. “I’m not going to have you ruin our plans the next time. The next time we go after him, we’re not stopping until we do what we have to do, I don’t mind ending his life too, I refuse to loose Bianca’s trust for me over any damn reason at all, so get this into your thick skull and don’t blow it next time.” He warned darkly, threw his cigar on the floor and left in anger. 

As Eric left, Marco could only stare at him in shock.

Alicia and Diane has been stuck in traffic for a couple of minutes now, she also couldn’t stop banging her fist on the steering wheel due to how frustrated she was, she’s so late for work and Diane is also running late for school. 

“Mommy what’s wrong? I’m late for school.” Diane whined. 

Alicia turned around to look at her where she was seated at the back. “I’m sorry baby, the traffic is just a little bit too much today, but you don’t have to worry, we’ll be at your school soon okay, just please be a little patient.” She said with a smile. 

Diane nodded. “Okay mommy.” She replied, then went back to playing games on her iPad. 

Alicia couldn’t help but groan in frustration, she just asked her daughter to be patient, but it seems she’s the one who needs that 

patience. 

“This is so frustrating!!” She muttered. 

As if things couldn’t get even worse, someone suddenly hit her car hard from behind. 

“What the-” Alicia managed to stop herself from using the f word. 

She turned to check up on Diane and make sure she was alright, seeing that her daughter was fine made her let out a breath of relief, she hurriedly took off her seat belt. “I’ll be back soon baby.” She said to Diane before getting off. 

There was a red car behind hers and it’s pretty obvious that’s the car that hit hers, she went to check the damage and saw that the tail lights of her car has been damaged, the person who hit her car didn’t even bother to come out. 

Alicia annoyingly walked to the car and knocked on the window, after knocking for sometime, the person finally decides to pull down the glass. 

It was actually a woman, and she had a dark shade on, but she took it off and Alicia frowned on seeing the lady, the lady’s face did look familiar but she couldn’t remember where she saw her. 

“Excuse me, you just bashed my car.” Alicia complained.

“Oops, I’m so sorry, my bad.” The lady replied unapologetically. 

Alicia scoffed on hearing her tone and her unsincerity. “I’m sorry but you’ll have to take responsibility for the damaged you 

caused.” 

“You clearly don’t remember me do you.” The lady replied. Alicia frowned. 

“Am I supposed to?” 

The lady smiled. “Well I guess it’s because we didn’t have a proper introduction the last time we met. I’m Bianca, Adams fiance, and the last you saw me was probably when we kissed in front of your company.” Bianca said with a bright smile plastered on her lips. 

Alicia furrowed her brow as she suddenly remembered that incident, she didn’t even know she was the same lady and she was what? Adams fiance? 

“I’m really really sorry for bashing your car, I didn’t mean to.” Bianca apologized, but it still wasn’t sincere and she didn’t even sound sincere either. She grabbed her purse from the other chair and fetched her card from it, then she stretched it to Alicia.” Here’s my card, you can forward me the cost for the damage and your account details, I’ll take responsibility just as you said. ” Alicia stared at her for a while, then she scoffed, Bianca’s obvious pride was so damn annoying. “It’s fine, and you can keep your card because I don’t need it.” She replied. 

At that moment, the cars behind them started honking, signaling for them to drive. 

Bianca had this smirk on her face, and deep down, Alicia would want nothing more than to slap that smirk of her lips, but she managed to restrain herself. 

She walked back to her car, got in and drove off immediately.

Bianca finally arrived at Adams company, when she stepped out of her car, she stood staring at the company with a smile on her face. She’s figured out another way to get closer to Adams, she’s brought him a deal that she’s so sure it’ll be so hard for him to refuse. 

“Just wait and see Adams, you’ll be mine soon.” She smirked.
