Chapter 27
Bianca was left stranded on the road, apparently Mike took her to a place she doesn’t even know, he dangerously warned her to stay away from Adams and then he left her all by herself in an unknown place, she tried calling him to come back as he drove off but he didn’t even listen to her.
As she looked around the area she was at she couldn’t help but to cry as she couldn’t tell where she was and her car was at Golden’s publishing, she would have called someone but there was no signal in the area and she couldn’t help but come to a conclusion that Mike did that on purpose, he dragged her to an unknown place and left her here all alone, not caring what happens to her.
She was so scared to leave the spot she was standing because she didn’t know what kind of things she’s bound to face in this lonely place, but she needs to get a signal on her phone so she could call someone who will come help her out of this goddamn place, and in her search to get a signal, she began wandering around.
This is an experience she’s sure to not forget in a hurry, she also vowed to herself that if she made it out of here in one piece, she’s not going to let Mike go so easily, she’s definitely going to pay him back in his own coin and teach him a lesson too.
Meanwhile, on his way back, Mike called Adams before he could get to the company to inquire his whereabouts, Adams then informed him that he was headed home and couldn’t go back to the company as he couldn’t think straight at the moment, Mike understood everything and told Adams that he would meet him at home, then he disconnected the call.
Bianca is the obvious cause of all this and he was more than satisfied with the way he choose to teach her a lesson, he had purposely taken her to a place he knew she wouldn’t know and left her there, the area was safe and she wouldn’t run into any harm, that he was sure about, he just couldn’t let her off like that after what she did and that’s the reason why he did what he did without any regrets whatsoever.
“Bitch!” He silently cursed.

Night time….
May was just returning from work, when she got into the house she was surprised to see that Alicia was still awake.
“Hey.” She said as she approached her, jolting Alicia out of her thoughts.
“You’re back, welcome home, how was your first day at work?” Alicia questioned with a smile.
May instantly crashed beside Alicia on the couch, then she sighed deeply. “It was great, a bit stressful but still okay, and I loved every bit of it.”
“I’m glad you had a wonderful day, I’ll love to hear about everything that happened but first is there anything you’ll like for me to get you.”
May didn’t hesitate to answer this question. “No Alicia, I’m fine thank you.”
“You’re sure? You’re not hungry or anything? What about a drink?” Alicia questioned and May shook her head in reply.
“Okay then, if you say so.”
“I’m going to go first and talk about my day, then you should also do the same, with Mr Ashton.”
“Of course, that part went well and I couldn’t be more grateful.‘

but I do hope you were able to sign the contract
“Thank God, and yes, when I arrived at the company today, you won’t believe who I ran into.” May sat up and faced Alicia, Alicia also did the same as she was equally eager to hear the gist.

+15 BONUS
“Who?”
“A guy named Mark, he said he was Adams best friend, just when I was starting to like him a little bit, he ruined the whole thing with that word.” May scoffed.
“Mike? Mike Dunbar!?”
“Err…I didn’t get the last name but he did say he was Adams best friend, do you know him?”
“Of course!” Alicia replied excitedly, since she returned she hasn’t seen Mike, but she would never forget how her relationship with Mike was, they were so close that she would literally tell him everything about her life and she could clearly remember how he would always speak to Adams on her behalf, he was never pleased with the way things turned out between them and how Adams treated her, she saw him like a brother and will forever be grateful to him.
“Well how come you never told me about him? I didn’t know you know him.”
“I know him so well May, Mike has helped me in so many ways that I can never ever forget, it’s been so long I saw him, how’s he? Is he well? What’s he like now?” She eagerly asked, all to May’s surprise.
“Err… He’s okay, he seems to be doing really well to me and I won’t deny the fact that he’s so freaking handsome too.”
Alicia chuckled. “Of course, Mike has always been a handsome man.” Alicia then went on to tell her a few things about Mike and how he helped her in the past.
By the time she was done, May couldn’t help but feel bad about how she had treated him before, hearing he was friends with Adams, she was to quick to judge him and concluded that he’s also going to be a jerk like Adams, not knowing he was the complete opposite.
“Damn I feel so terrible about what I did now, I judged him too quickly and concluded he’s just the same as Adams.”
“Of course not, Mike is an amazing guy, he’s a great guy and I would really love to see him again, I’m not sure I’ll be able to stop myself from hugging him due to how much I missed him, it didn’t even occur to me to reach out to him when I returned, I feel so bad now.”
“Oh come on,
“But still-”
I’m sure he’ll understand, no one can blame you.”
“If he’s as good as you say he is then I’m sure he’ll get it, so don’t stress about it.”
“Thanks May, I’m sure we’ll see each other some day, I can actually reach out to him one of these days.”
“That’s good too, so tell me about your day.”
“Oh yeah, you really won’t believe what happened today and who actually came to the company.”
May adjusted herself once more. “I’m listening.”
