“what are you going to do now?” May asked.
“I already told him I lost the baby and my Diane isn’t his, I’m never going to admit to the truth about Diane being his daughter because I don’t want him in our lives, I need that man a million miles away from my daughter.” Alicia replied, while ruffling
her hair.
“I’m with you on this one, you shouldn’t forgive him so easily, not after what he’s done to you.”
Alicia was about saying something when Diane ran downstairs calling out to her.
“I’m done mommy.”
When Alicia turned to look at her daughter, a bright smile graced her lips, Diane was looking so beautiful, her face was so full of joy, when Diane returned home from the school the first day, she was super excited and told her mother about the friends she made and how she loves her new school, now each time it’s time for school, she’s so excited and more than willing to resume. Her daughter is just so happy and she’ll do anything to make sure her happiness is never ruined, she wouldn’t let anything or anyone come into their lives and ruin everything for them.
“Mommy.” Diane called, gently pulling Alicia’s hand.
Alicia snapped out of her thought immediately. “I’m so sorry honey, I’ll just get the car keys and then we can go okay?”
“Okay mommy.” Diane replied with a smile, Alicia then went upstairs to grab her car keys and when she returned she met May giving Diane her breakfast and that was when it occurred to her that she forgot to serve Diane breakfast earlier.
She facepalms herself. “That damn Adams!” She silently cursed because he’s the one who made her forget about this part.
“I can’t believe I forgot to give her breakfast, thank you May.” She said when she got to where they were seated.
“It’s fine, I understand, we’ll be done soon.”
Alicia went to take a sit so she could relax a little while May feeds Diane, she tried her best to take her mind off Adams but she couldn’t, she just hopes he’s never going to show his face to her or her daughter ever again.

“So, how did it go? Did you get to see Alicia and Diane?” Mike asked, he and
ams were both seated in Adams office.
“Yes Mike, I did see them both and Diane… She’s the most beautiful kid I’ve ever seen, she looks a lot like I and Alicia but…”
He trailed
Mike who was started to get excited while hearing Adams speak, he even had a smile on his face but the moment Adams ended his words like that, he became worried and the sad look on Adams face made him even more worried.
“What’s wrong Adams? But what?” He asked.
Adams massaged his temples, he was starting to get a slight headache when he suddenly remembered Alicia’s words.
“Alicia said Diane isn’t mine, she said.” He couldn’t even say the words.
“What did she say? Tell me already” Mike urged impatiently.
“She said she lost the baby and Diane belongs to someone else.”
“What? How’s that even possible?” Mike replied, not buying the story.
“You also don’t believe the story right.”
“Of course not, I mean the kid does look like the both of you, your features is really visible when you look at her, I haven’t seen Diane in person but I can tell right by looking at the photos and if Alicia claims that she belongs to someone else then.”

Mike trailed off.
“Then what?”
“I don’t know Adams, there’s nothing about Alicia being in a relationship with anyone and if she’s even with someone then maybe she’s kept it private and away from the public because I didn’t find anything relating to her being in a relationship.”
Adams stood up from his seat, then he began pacing around while having a thoughtful look on his face. “But it doesn’t make any sense, if Diane isn’t my daughter then why does she look like me, when I looked at her Mike, I felt it deep down, I could feel the deep connection and I can tell she’s mine.” He insisted.
Mike also stood up. “Maybe Alicia doesn’t want you to know the truth about her, maybe she doesn’t want you near her,
there’s so many reasons to why she’s keeping the truth from you and I can’t blame her.”
“It doesn’t matter Mike, one thing is for sure, Alicia can’t keep me away from either her or Diane, I also don’t care about her friend’s threat either because that’s also not going to stop me from seeing them.”
Mike furrowed his brow in confusion. “Her friend’s threat? What are you talking about?”
“There’s a lady staying with her, she claims to be Alicia’s best friend and she also asked me to stay away from them or she’s going to report me to the police and get a restraining order on me, she did seem a bit scary but I’m not moved by any of that, not even the authorities can keep me away from Alicia and Diane.”
“So you’re saying if they did get a restraining order on you, you’re still going to keep going there to see them?” Mike wasn’t surprised by this, when Adams wants something, he’s willing to go to any extent to get them, not minding the consequences of his actions.
“You know me well Mike, you know I don’t care about that.”
Mike sighed deeply. “That’s it, you’ve made up your mind already and this act of yours will put you in jail, why don’t you just calm down a bit, you shouldn’t push things too much, I think it’s best to back off for now.”
Adams turned to look at Mike, the look he gave him was enough to send him to an early grave and that look alone told Mike it was time he shut up.
Before Mike could say anything else, a knock on Adams door interrupted them, the door to Adams office was pushed open, revealing an unexpected guest.
A huge frown appeared on Adams face, while Mike stared at the lady in confusion since he didn’t recognize her.
“Hello Adams.”
“Bianca.”
