“Do you think she’ll be okay?” Alicia asked May as they both walked out of Diane’s school premises.

Ever since they enrolled Diane and dropped her off at her new school, Alicia hasn’t stopped worrying, getting her to even leave Diane was a struggle, she was so worried about her and how she’s going to be treated by the other kids, plus she was even worried that Diane might not be okay despite the fact that the little girl kept on insisting that she was fine, but still Alicia wouldn’t stop worrying.
May mentally facepalmed herself, this felt like the millionth time Alicia is asking her the same question.
“How many times do I have to say this Alicia, Diane will be just fine and it’s not like this is the first time she’s attending school, didn’t she go to school in London? Even Diane already told you that she’ll be fine so can you please stop worrying already because you’re making me want to hit you for the same question every time.” May groaned in frustration.
Alicia sighed deeply, she stopped walking and turned to look at the school one more time, the school was pretty huge, everything about it was okay, she did her research well before enrolling her daughter here because she wants her daughter to attend one of this best schools in Seattle and this particular school is the one. Expensive? Yes, but it’s a great school for any kid to attend, it’s got the kind of security she needs and every other thing, there’s no doubt that her daughter will do just fine here, she just hope Diane will be able to make new friends because that’s the part that’s worrying her daughter.
After staring at AAT
for sometime, May got fed up and grabbed her hand, then she began pulling her towards the parking lot
where the car was parked.
“Why don’t you just apply for the job of a guard there, that way you can keep an eye on her every time.” She said while still pulling Alicia.
When they got to the car, May finally let her go.
“Are you going to drive or should I?” She folded her hands across her chest while staring at Alicia sternly.
“I’ll drive.” Alicia replied sadly, she made to go inside the car but then she sharply turned around once more. “Do you think I—”
“Get in now!” May screamed, Alicia scoffed.
“Fine.” She replied before going inside.
“Goodness gracious!” May scoffed in disbelief, then she also went in and Alicia drove off immediately.
Night time…
Adams finally arrived at his parents home, he stayed in his car for a while as he prepared himself for whatever the night holds for him, when he was ready, he got out of his car and went inside, he already called his parents to inform them that he was coming, so when he got in, a maid informed him that his parents were already waiting for him in the dining room and that’s where he simply went to.
When he walked in, he was surprised to see an unfamiliar young lady sitting with his parents and on seeing him, his parents face lit up with smiles and they happily welcomed him.
His mother stood up to go and hug him. “It’s been so long Adams.” She said while still hugging him.
“Hmm, sorry for not visiting.” Adams replied, hugging her back.
Soon, his mother broke the hug, then she pulled him with her to go and sit, but then she intentionally made him sit beside the lady
“Good evening Adams.” The lady greeted with a smile, her cheeks were already as red as a tomato.
“Evening.” Adams simply replied, not even sparing her a glance.

When everyone was seated, the maids began serving dinner, and as they did that, his mother engaged them in a conversation, but she mostly talked to Adams, she inquired about his work and how live has been, to all the ques casually replied.
Seeing he wasn’t even paying much attention to her, she introduced the lady to him.
asked, Adams
“Adams meet Bianca, a daughter of my very close friend, she’s been out of the country for a while but now she’s back and wants to fully settle down in Seattle.” She said with a bright smile.
Adams nodded. “That’s good.” He said before picking up his cutlery and began eating.
His whole behavior was making his parents feel like he doesn’t even want to be here, but regardless of what he does, his mother wasn’t going to give up on her initial plan which is to get Bianca and Adams together, her son has been single for so long and she doesn’t understand why he doesn’t want to get a woman to settle down with, they want to be able to hold their grandchild but with Adams behavior, that doesn’t seem like it’s happening anytime soon and she just can’t take it anymore.
As for Bianca, she just couldn’t stop staring at Adams and shamelessly drooling over him, she doesn’t even care if he wasn’t paying much attention to her, she’s never seen a man who’s as attractive as Adams and he’s also fucking rich! He’s everything she’s dreamed of and wants in a man, she just prays this whole plan of getting with him works out because she wants Adams and she’s going to make sure she gets him at any cost.
“Adams.” His mother called and he paused to stare at her.
“There’s something I want to talk to you about.” She rubbed her palms together, she was nervous, but this couldn’t wait, she’s been planning his meeting with Bianca for weeks now and she just can’t delay this any longer.
“I’m listening mother.” He dropped his cutlery and took a napkin to wipe his mouth, then he gave her his full attention.
Bianca adjusted herself in her seat, even his father stopped eating.
Bianca just couldn’t wait for his mother to go straight to the point because she already knew what was coming and the thought of Adams and her getting together was enough to drive her crazy with happiness. She already got the full gist about his ex wife from his parents and her inability to conceive, she knew about how Adams divorced and threw her out of his house and life, well, she’s different from his ex wife, she’s not infertile and will give the Carter family the heir they need and
truly deserve.
