When Alicia got home, she stayed in her car for a little while as she tried to calm herself down, she was still feeling so angry about her encounter with Adams and she wouldn’t want to take that anger inside and see her daughter with it.
Adams words about trying to make things right rang in her ears and she scoffed bitterly.
“That damn man!” She spat while hitting the car steering with her palm.
She couldn’t even believe his guts, after everything he and his parents put her through, he still has the audacity to come to her and tell her trash about being sorry and wanting to set things right!
“Sorry? Sorry!?” She laughed bitterly. “Oh, you’ve got to be kidding me Adams, you’ve really got to be kidding me, sorry my foot! Do you really think sorry can solve everything? Ha!” She hissed. “I pray I never get to see you again Adams, never ever!” She placed her head on the steering and took countless of deep breath.
She forced herself to forget about her encounter with Adams, and one thing she promised herself was to stay the hell away from him and also keep her daughter away from him, she wouldn’t want her daughter having a man like Adams for a father nor would she want Adams finding out about Diane.

She tucked a loosed strand of her hair behind her ear, took one last deep calming breath before coming out of her car.
The moment she got inside, she was surprised to see everywhere dark, the whole light has been turned off and she instantly became worried because of her daughter.
“What the hell.” She muttered to herself, then she turned on the lights and what happened next shocked her greatly.
“Surprise!!!”
Alicia’s soul almost left her body, she wasn’t expecting that at all, and she wasn’t even expecting to see her best friend standing right in front of her.
“May!?” She half yelled in shock and surprise.
May was carrying Diane in her arms, while the baby sitter was standing beside them, all had huge bright smiles on their faces. “Won’t you come give me a hug?” May asked, still smiling, she balanced Diane on her right hip and opened her left hand wide. Alicia was still in shock, but she was so so pleased to see May and she instantly went to her and give her a
hug.
“I’ve missed you so much.” She laughed, then she pulled out of the hug. “What are you doing here? You didn’t even tell me you were coming and how the hell did you even get here!?”
“I wanted to surprise you and have you forgotten you gave me your address before, I managed to find my way here.” May replied and that was when Alicia recalled her asking about her address before, she asked May the reason but she never told
her
“I don’t need to ask, I can see you’re so surprised.” May teased.
“And shocked” Alicia chuckled
Before they could say anything else, the babysitter interrupted their conversation.
“Excuse me Miss” She chipped in and Alicia focused her attention on her.
“Pardon me ” She face plamed “I’m so sorry I took so long to arrive, the event took way longer than I expected due to how many people that turned up, I apologize for that.”
“It’s alright Miss, you’re here now and I’ll love to take my leave now.”
“Hold on a minute please ” She fetched out some money from her purse and gave it to the babysitter who thanked her profusely before leaving.

When the babysitter left, Alicia turned to May who was still carrying Diane. “How are you baby? And I’m so sorry I took so long to arrive.” She apologized, then she kissed Diane’s cheek.
“It’s okay Mommy, I’m glad aunt May is finally here.” Diane squealed in excitement, then she hugged May tightly, it’s pretty much obvious how much she loves her aunt and May loves her even more than anything else.
Alicia shook her head. “Soon I’ll be invisible.” She groaned dramatically, causing May and Diane to laugh.
“I’m going to go put Diane to bed and come to you because we’ve got a lot to talk about.” May said.
“Don’t tell me you already know your way around here.” Alicia replied, May shrugged.
“What can I say? My little angel already gave me a tour, so I know where your room is located and where her lovely room is too.” May winked before leaving and all Alicia could do was chuckle and roll her eyes afterwards.
When May took Diane to her room, Alicia went upstairs to her room, she knew it was going to take a little while before May would come to her, so she used the opportunity to take a shower and get ready for the night.
Before May would arrive, Alicia was already done with what she had to do. She was sitting on her bed when she heard a knock on her door and she immediately asked May to come in.
When May came in, she did a little excited dance. “Hey girly.” She squealed in excitement as she went to sit beside Alicia, then she hugged her briefly once again.
“Diane is peacefully sleeping and now we can have some hot gossip time.”
“Come on!” Alicia rolled her eyes at her. “How was your flight down here, you’ve got everything you need?” Alicia asked.
“I sure have, there would be no need for me to return to London, and now, how are you and how’s been the settling in? I do hope tonight’s event was great, tell me about everything!” She said eagerly.
Alicia sighed deeply before replying to her question. “Everything went well and at the last moment it still would have been nice had I not seen someone who ruined my entire mood.” She groaned.
May furrowed her brow. “What do you mean? Who did you see?”
Alicia looked at her for sometime before speaking. “You’re not going to believe it, I saw my ex husband there, Adams!”
May’s eyes widen in surprise. “What!?”
