Chapter 7

Fortunately, Hubert wasn’t entirely beyond saving-at least he was still willing to give me a chance to prove myself.

Relying on the memories of my previous life, I knew with certainty that Lianna had just lost the baby not long ago.

And at this very moment, she was at the hospital-with none other than Hubert’s driver.

So I looked him straight in the eye and said firmly, “She’s at Central Hospital right now. If you’re willing to come with me, the truth will be laid bare.”

My voice was steady, my gaze unwavering, leaving no room for doubt.

Hubert let out a cold snort. “Fine. To shut everyone’s mouths, I’ll go with you. I’d like to see how you try to worm your way out of this one!”

Without another word, he yanked me toward the car.

Blake shot me a complicated glance, then silently followed.

Several online streamers and influencers, smelling blood, also trailed after us in their cars- determined to keep their live coverage rolling.

The ride was suffocatingly quiet.

Hubert’s face was dark, his fists clenched as though he were holding back a storm.

Finally, after a long silence, his voice erupted. “Celestine, enjoy your last moments of freedom. If

I find out you really killed my child, I’ll make sure you regret ever being born!”

Having lived through this once already, I didn’t doubt him.

I knew he meant every word.

But I had learned my lesson.

This time, I would not stumble into the same pit.

A cold smile tugged at my lips, but I said nothing.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at Central Hospital.

I led the group straight to the obstetrics and gynecology ward.

And sure enough, inside a luxurious private room-Hubert’s driver, Francis, was carefully feeding Lianna chicken soup.

He blew gently on the spoon, his eyes brimming with tenderness and affection as he watched her.

Even though Lianna looked pale and weak, the sweetness in her gaze betrayed her joy. Their eyes lingered on each other, sticky and intimate, like strands of sugar pulling apart. Anyone who saw this scene would assume they were newlyweds still drunk on love.

The sight hit Hubert like a hammer.

His fists clenched so tightly his knuckles turned white, his jaw set with rage as he froze in the doorway, unable to step inside.

Blake and the streaming crowd peeked from behind, their faces filled with shock.

And online-chaos erupted.

Comments flooded the livestream.

[Oh my god, are they a couple? They look even more in love than newlyweds!]

[Wait-does this mean the story is flipping upside down?]

[So the pregnant wife cheated with the driver and that’s how she lost the baby? This is wilder than fiction!]

[Real life is stranger than novels. This livestream is insane!]

The shocking reversal sent the stream’s popularity soaring-within minutes, over a millior people were watching.

Hubert stood frozen for a long moment before finally storming in, eyes bloodshot.

“What the hell is going on here?!”

His voice thundered through the room as he glared at Lianna and Francis.

Blake, the streamers, and I followed him inside.

Francis, who had been feeding Lianna the chicken soup, jumped in alarm.

With a stare sharp enough to kill, Hubert asked in a voice colder than frost, “Why are you here?”

Francis quickly set down the spoon, stammering nervously, “M-Mr. Ferguson… Madam wasn feeling well. She said she called you, but you never came, so I… I came to look after her.”

Hubert’s eyes narrowed, his stare slicing into Francis like knives.

But for a moment, he said nothing.
