Chapter 199

She had certainly heard of the Wexley family, which, along with the Lambert family, the Robertson family, and the Rowland family, was farked as one of the four great families in Aclueton. The Lambert family and the Robertson family held a certain advantage in the north, while the Rowland family and the Wexley family’s influence was spread throughout the south. If the Lambert family and the Robertson family were considered powerful enough, then the Rowland family and the Wexley family were considered wealthy enough.

Her motherinlaw, Soniayn, the eldest daughter of the Rowland family, was rumored to have brought a dowry of five billion when she married into the Lambert family.

The Wexley family has made rapid progress in the South in recent years, and their wealth has soared past the Rowland family to become the new richest family in the South, with tremendous momentum in their development.

Sure enough, when Soniayn heard that Gavyn and Jacey wanted Marissa to marry into the Wexley family, her face turned a little ugly.

Dwayne sipped his soup slowly, Marry into the Wexley family?”

If we could win over the Wexley family, it would also be beneficial to the Lambert family.”

Was the Wexley family’s aloof temperament suitable for Marissa?”

Dwayne was right,Aliyah spoke up, Marissa’s child has been spoiled by you all, marrying another arrogant man would be a disaster.”

Jacey laughed and said, It’s okay, I heard that Mr. Wexley will be staying in the capital for a while, so we can let the children spend some time together first.”

Aliyah didn’t say anything more, and the conversation at the dinner table was quickly shifted.

Dorothy remained silent from start to finish, until the end of the meal, when Cedric asked them to stay overnight at the old mansion.

Dorothy and Dwayne returned to the bedroom. In the old house, they couldn’t sleep in separate rooms.

And the matter of her wanting a divorce was known only to Aliyah.

Dwayne went to take a shower first, listening to the sound of water flowing in the bathroom, while Dorothy sitting on the bed became more and more

silent.

To be honest, she didn’t want to sleep with Dwayne.

She got up and walked to the door, calling a servant.

Dwayne walked out of the bathroom, wearing a dark blue bathrobe.

The short hair was wet and not dried.

Inside the open collar, there were strong and sturdy muscles, with hot water droplets hanging on the wheatcolored skin.

His gaze fell on the woman who was laying the floor tiles on one side, squinting, What are you doing?”
