Emily felt a little awkward about what Mallory had pulled.
“What are you doing, Mal?” she asked.
Feeling frustrated, Mallory poked her head and said, “What am I doing? Gabriel has brought his mistress home, so why should you stay faithful to him? I’ll show you today that there are plenty of fish in the sea, so don’t waste your life on just one of them.”
One of them was dressed in a white shirt, and he was both stunned and filled with admiration
as his gaze landed on Emily.
He walked up to her and said gently, “I can’t believe there’s a man who doesn’t know how to cherish you when you’re so beautiful. He must have been blind. He doesn’t deserve you.”
He gave her a mesmerizing smile and asked, “How about you give me a shot?”

“You brought your mistress back to the villa. So what’s wrong if I’m out here looking for a man?”
She looked right into his infuriated gaze and asked slowly, “Could it be that…you’re feeling jealous?”
The silence that followed was deafening.
Gabriel tensed his jaw and snapped, “Come home with me!”
He grabbed her wrist so tightly that she felt as though her bones were almost crushed.
Feeling pained, Emily struggled with all her might, shouting, “Let go of me!”

“Why are you here looking for me? You should go home and take care of your sick little Amelia,
” she said.
“Emily, don’t test my limits.”
Gabriel’s expression darkened. His patience had been exhausted.
Emily locked horns with him without any sense of fear.
“I’m going to challenge it. What are you going to do about it? Gabriel, if you can’t stand it, let’s get a divorce tomorrow,” she said.
Mallory shielded Emily behind her and said, “Emily is with me tonight, so there’s no need for you to worry about her. You’d better hurry home to keep an eye on that perfectly innocent Amelia. Don’t let her out to cause trouble again.”
Gabriel’s gaze was ice cold. He didn’t even look at Mallory.
He simply stared at Emily and threatened her, “Emily, I’m going to say it one last time. If you don’t leave with me today, Sterling Group will disappear from this world tomorrow.”
Emily froze.
Gabriel was using the Sterling family to pressure her into giving in again.
She gritted her teeth and sank her nails into her palms.
At last, she looked up and looked at Mallory apologetically.
Then, she followed Gabriel into the car.
As soon as Gabriel got in, he ordered the driver icily, “To the villa by the harbor pier.”
Emily named another address almost the instant he finished his sentence, saying, “To Deerwood Apartments.”
Gabriel looked at her with displeasure.
She met his gaze and said in an unyielding tone that he had never heard before, “I’ll jump out if you don’t take me to my apartment.”
She had finally escaped that cage, so of course, she didn’t want to go back there.
Gabriel stared at her and wondered if she had lost her mind. She was willing to bet her life just to get away from him.

Emily sneered disdainfully. “You can find out anything, can’t you? Do you still need to ask me when it’s such a small matter?”
Gabriel closed in on her and said, “Emily, don’t make me repeat myself. Otherwise, I don’t mind throwing you over my shoulder right now and taking you back to the villa.”
He was simply crazy.
Emily closed her eyes and took a deep breath. By the time she opened her eyes again, there was nothing but emptiness left in them.
“202,” she said.
Gabriel stopped pestering her after he got his answer and released his grip.
