Finally, he spotted Harriet in the right corner. Jolene wasn’t with 

her, and there were no documents on her table, just two simple 

dishes. 

She was eating breakfast while looking at her phone. 

“Ells, this bacon is really good. Try some.” 

Kelsey held a piece of bacon to Ellsworth’s mouth. Only then did 

Ellsworth quickly look away and snap back to reality. 

Looking at the bacon Kelsey offered, Ellsworth replied with an 

‘Mm,’ but he didn’t open his mouth. Instead, he took Kelsey’s 

fork and put it back on the plate. 

Ellsworth didn’t eat it, so Kelsey smiled and reminded him, 

“Then remember to try it later.” 

“Mm.” 

After Ellsworth responded, Kelsey continued chatting with the 

other women.

Chapter Sit 

On the right side of the restaurant. 

After reading the news, Harriet put down her phone, picked up 

her bowl, and quickly finished her porridge in a few bites. 

She wiped her mouth with a napkin, didn’t look for Ellsworth 

among the crowd, and headed straight to the conference hall 

with her phone. 

When she arrived at the conference hall and saw that she had 

been assigned a seat next to Ellsworth, Harriet didn’t even think 

twice-she just took her nameplate and found an empty corner 

to sit in. 

If Ellsworth hadn’t delayed the paperwork, she wouldn’t even 

have needed to attend this exchange meeting. 

But since they weren’t divorced yet, she still had to play her part. 

Before long, the attendees began to arrive. Besides Ellsworth, 

Johnathan, and the other young people, the older generation of 

entrepreneurs also showed up. 

It was a gathering of big shots. 

“Ells, you’re here.” 

“Ells, let’s talk about the second project after the meeting.” 

“No problem, Mr. Lutz.” 

“This is Kelsey, right? Back in the country?” 

“Yes, Mr. Lutz. I hope you’ll look after me in the future.” 

While Ellsworth socialized, Kelsey stood by his side with a bright 

smile, as if she were Ellsworth’s wife. 

However, the older generation wasn’t as enthusiastic about 

Kelsey. They just greeted her politely, unlike the younger crowd 

who welcomed her warmly. 

After all, Ellsworth was now married, which made him another 

woman’s legal husband, no matter what his past with Kelsey 

had been. 

After everyone finished greeting each other, the opening 

ceremony was about to begin. 

Everyone took their seats. Seeing that the seat to Ellsworth’s 

right was empty, Kelsey naturally took her nameplate and sat 

there. 

Johnathan sat on Ellsworth’s left.

Looking around Ellsworth, Johnathan didn’t see Harriet, so he 

leaned over and whispered, “Ells, where’s Hara? Hasn’t she 

arrived yet?” 

Ellsworth didn’t look for Harriet, just replied calmly, “She’s here, 

probably somewhere in the hall.” 

Hearing Ellsworth’s words, Johnathan turned to look for her 

again. 

This time, he finally spotted Harriet in the second-to-last row, 

looking serious as she focused on something. 

Seeing Harriet sitting alone in the back, Johnathan’s expression 

softened a little. 

Then he glanced at the lively scene around him, at Kelsey 

bustling about, beaming as she accompanied Ellsworth, and at 

how Ellsworth indulged her every move. 

Johnathan suddenly felt that Harriet really should get a divorce. 

Turning back, Johnathan looked at Ellsworth with a faint 

expression, seeing how he didn’t care about Harriet at all. 

Johnathan secretly gave Ellsworth a thumbs-up, “Man, you’re 

something else.”

Letting his own wife fend for herself while keeping the other 

woman by his side. 

What a slap in Hara’s face… 

Forget it. 

From now on, he’d only advise her to leave, not to stay. With 

Ellsworth’s character, he didn’t deserve Hara’s devotion. 

Ellsworth glanced indifferently at Johnathan, who chuckled and 

said, “As long as you don’t regret it later.” 

Over the next two days, Harriet wisely kept her distance from 

Ellsworth. She didn’t disturb his time with Kelsey, nor did she 

get involved in his life. 

Whether eating or attending meetings, she was always by herself, not even greeting Johnathan or Darrick. 

She completely separated herself from Ellsworth’s circle. 

Ellsworth, on the other hand, left early and returned late. For 

two consecutive nights, by the time he came back to the room, 

Harriet was already asleep.

That noon, after the morning meeting ended, Harriet was 

heading to the restaurant alone with her phone and documents when someone suddenly called out to her from behind, 

“Harriet.” 

Harriet turned around and saw a tall, refined-looking man with gold-rimmed glasses and a dark gray suit walking toward her. 

He looked about twenty-seven or twenty-eight, probably not yet 

thirty. 

He was handsome and delicate, yet still had a certain 

ruggedness. 

Harriet found him somewhat familiar, but couldn’t quite 

remember where she had seen him before. 

After sizing him up, Harriet asked gently, “And you are…?” 

Harriet didn’t recognize herself. The man smiled and introduced 

himself, “Reginald Barton.” 

When the other party introduced himself, Harriet suddenly 

realized and quickly reached out to greet him, “Mr. Barton, 

hello.”
