After sitting there lost in thought for a while, he straightened up,
took out a cigarette and a lighter from his pocket, and lit one for

He had rarely seen Harriet argue with others before, and never
imagined that one day she would stand up to him like this.
He had seen so much goodness and gentleness in Harriet, had
grown used to her tolerance toward him.

night.”
Harriet smiled lightly and said, “The elderly need to be taken

looked at Harriet cautiously and asked, “Hara, how far along are
you and Ells with the divorce proceedings?”
