except Ellsworth.
Listening to Kathie, Harriet smiled and said, “I’m a divorced woman. How could I even think about those people? I’d better
focus on my work for now.”
Dealing with Ellsworth was already exhausting and painful
enough. She’d better just focus on her job.
Kathie said, “You don’t have kids, you’re only 23, and if I’m not
mistaken, nothing ever happened between you and my brother,
right?”

They ordered takeout for lunch and stayed there all afternoon.
Kathie had several furniture brands send over product photos,
and Harriet picked out a full set for the apartment without even
needing to go shopping.

It was late, so she didn’t go inside.
Watching Kathie’s car drive away, Harriet finally withdrew her
gaze and turned to go home.
When she got home, Jacquelyn and the others had already
gone to bed.
Moving quietly up to the second floor, Harriet had just reached
her bedroom door when Ellsworth came out of the master
bedroom.
Seeing Harriet return, he greeted her nonchalantly, “You’re
back.”
Harriet nodded in response, “Mm.”

Harriet’s demeanor was calm and distant, and her tone with him
was just as cool. Ellsworth looked down at her and asked, “Are you free next Saturday?”
At Ellsworth’s question, Harriet picked up her phone and
checked her calendar, then looked up and said, “I already have
plans for next Saturday.”
Since Harriet wasn’t available, Ellsworth didn’t say anything more, and Harriet went into the guest bedroom next door.

Normally, the drive would take two hours, but today, with several colleagues driving, they made it in an hour and a half.
They got a call saying the leaders would arrive at ten, but as the

still no sign of them.
Seeing how seriously everyone took it, Harriet wanted to ask
which leader was coming, but in the end, she held back her
curiosity.
Finally, close to eleven, several police cars led the way as a fleet
of black sedans drove into the park. Reginald and Jonas
immediately perked up.
Harriet quickly looked over as well.
Soon, the leaders got out of the cars, and Reginald led everyone
over to greet them.
It was only then that Harriet saw the leader visiting today was
Vicente, accompanied by several other officials.
At that moment, he was surrounded by the crowd, shaking
hands with Reginald.
Seeing Vicente again, Harriet couldn’t help but marvel at his
powerful presence. The moment he appeared, even Reginald’s
aura seemed diminished.
He stood over six feet tall, with a straight posture, perfect

approachable.

one she admired most.

After the two shook hands and exchanged greetings, Vicente
also shook hands and greeted Jonas and several other senior,
staff standing at the front.
Several accompanying journalists kept their cameras rolling the
entire time.
