Chapter165

Hearing the sound of Ellsworth getting out and closing the car

door, Harriet watched his figure walk around the front of the car

and murmured, Ellsworth, did you ever like me?”

As she finished speaking, Ellsworth came to the passenger

side, opened the door for her, and, leaning lazily with his arm on

the door, teased, Don’t even want to go home anymore?”

Hearing his words, Harriet got out of the car.

After showering and changing in the bedroom, Harriet planned

to talk to Ellsworth, to tell him that her grandparents already

knew about the divorce, the legal department was preparing the

contract, and that she would move back to the next room

instead of staying in his. Just then, Ellsworth suddenly pulled a

chair in front of the sofa, nodded at the sofa, and said to her,

Sit.”

Harriet glanced at the chair.

She knew itEllsworth had something to say today, and she had

guessed right.

Chapter 165

Without much emotion, Harriet looked at Ellsworth for a while, then walked over calmly and sat down on the sofa.

She was already prepared. She had imagined this scene

countless times before. There was a pen on the deskshe could

sign at any time.

After Harriet sat down, Ellsworth took a seat in the chair

opposite her.

They sat facing each other. Seeing Harriet’s hair was a bit

messy, Ellsworth reached out to tidy it for her.

Harriet didn’t move his hand away, just stared straight at him.

After fixing Harriet’s messy hair, Ellsworth turned and picked up

a stack of photos from the coffee table behind him, handing

them over as if it were nothing.

Harriet took the photos and looked through them, momentarily

at a loss for words.

She thought Ellsworth wanted to talk about the divorce, that the

agreement was ready.

But… what was all this mess? Weren’t these just photos of her

having burgers with Gracelyn?

Chapter 165

After looking through the photos, Harriet looked up at Ellsworth, about to ask what he meant, but Ellsworth spoke first.

He looked straight at her, his tone calm and unreadable as he asked, Do you like Reginald? Or do you like that child?”

Before Harriet could answer, Ellsworth continued, If you like

Reginald, I’ll deal with him right away. If you like kids, we can

have a few of our own.”

Have a few?

Harriet couldn’t help but laugh in exasperation at his words.

So all this fuss tonight was just about this?

Harriet stared speechlessly at Ellsworth for a long time before

saying seriously, Ellsworth, stop joking. If there’s nothing else,

I’m going to rest in the next room.”

Utterly unreasonable.

After speaking, Harriet got up to leave, but Ellsworth grabbed

her wrist and pulled her back.

Landing back on the sofa, Harriet said, Ellsworth, what exactly

do you want? And if you’re going to question me, shouldn’t I ask

Chapter165

you first? Didn’t you say you’d be back in a few days? Why did you suddenly come back early today?”

At Harriet’s sharpness, Ellsworth said, So, do you like

Reginald?”

With that, Ellsworth reached for his phone on the coffee table.

Seeing this, Harriet snatched his phone away. Don’t go making

calls or asking around. Don’t complicate my work environment.

Stop projecting your own issues onto me.”

As soon as Harriet finished speaking, Ellsworth suddenly bent

down and hoisted her onto his shoulder.

Harriet was startled, slapping his back with both hands.

Ellsworth, what are you doing? Put me down!”

Ellsworth didn’t listen at all. He tossed her onto the bednot too

hard, not too softand trapped her in his arms.

He had held back all day.

He had spent the whole day holding back over this.

Now, seeing how little Harriet cared, and how she raised her

voice at him, Ellsworth just wanted to teach her a lesson, to

Chapter165

make her cry and beg for mercy, to make her never mention

divorce again.

He wanted to make her his.

As Harriet tried to push herself up from the bed, Ellsworth

grabbed her hand and pinned her down.

Ellsworth was much stronger than beforemore forceful, more

domineering.

Yet he was still careful, not without tenderness.

He held one of her hands, and with the other, quickly undid her

clothes.

After being messed with by him all night, Harriet was annoyed.

She struggled and protested, Ellsworth, I don’t consent. This is

illegal.”

Ellsworth just laughed. Go ahead, try to sue me. See if anyone

dares take your case.”

EllsHarriet hadn’t even finished calling his name before she

was drowned in his overwhelming kisses.

As he kissed her, his hands were anything but idle.

Chapter165

Harriet pushed at him with all her might, but found she was no

match for Ellsworth’s strength.

He could do whatever he wanted with her.
