distant with him.
When they reached the hotel entrance, Harriet walked beside

ride?”

“Then drive slowly.”
He tacitly agreed to let Kathie drive Kelsey home, without
offering to take her himself.

keep him around.

stopped, she stopped too; when Kathie walked, she followed.
Seeing Harriet silently following Kathie, Ellsworth reached out,
pressed her neck, and pulled her in front of him, saying lazily,
“Where are you going? Not going home?”
Hearing the voice behind her, Kathie snapped back to reality,
turned around, and said to Harriet, “Hara, I’m driving Miss Wen
home. It’s not convenient to take you, so you go home with my
brother.”

look at her.
