Thinking of this, Harriet didn’t try to hide it. She nodded to 

Ellsworth and said softly, “Yes, I went to look at houses.” 

It’s just that the houses she liked, she couldn’t afford to buy for 

now. 

After Harriet admitted she had gone house hunting, Ellsworth 

put down his book, leaned slightly to the right, and reached out 

to open the drawer of the bedside table. 

Then, he took out a property deed from inside and handed it to 

Harriet as if it were nothing. 

Harriet glanced down at the property deed Ellsworth handed 

her, then looked up at him and asked, “What does this mean?” 

If they were talking about divorce, he shouldn’t just be giving 

her a property deed-there should be an agreement as well. 

Harriet didn’t take the deed, just looked up at him in confusion. 

Ellsworth said unhurriedly, “Even if we really split up, I can’t give 

you 10% of the shares, but it’s not like you’d walk away with 

nothing.”

With Ellsworth saying this much, Harriet didn’t say anything 

more. She reached out to take the property deed and said 

gently, “Thank you, then.” 

She didn’t bother with pleasantries with Ellsworth, afraid that 

being too polite would only drag out the divorce process. 

Since it had already been brought up, she didn’t want to delay 

any longer. 

However, as she took the property deed, she accidentally 

caught sight of the ring on his ring finger. Harriet couldn’t help 

but pause, her gaze lingering for a moment. 

The ring was beautiful-anyone could tell at a glance that he was 

taken, that he was married. 

Seeing her suddenly distracted, Ellsworth asked, “What’s 

wrong? Afraid to take it?” 

Harriet snapped back to reality, quickly took the property deed, 

looked up at him with a smile, and said, “It’s nothing.” 

Then she looked down and flipped through the property deed in 

her hand-it was for the Auburn Heights villa. 

It was worth several hundred million. 

After reading the deed, as Harriet turned to put it back in the 

bedside table, she looked at Ellsworth again and asked, “So how 

are we going to talk to your family about this? How do we tell your parents and your grandfather? Or should we just get the 

divorce certificate first and tell them afterward?” 

Since he had already given her the property deed and 

mentioned splitting up, Harriet figured Ellsworth probably 

wanted to move the divorce along as well. 

There wouldn’t be any problem on her grandfather’s side, and 

Ellsworth’s father, Colin, probably wouldn’t object either. The 

main issue was Raymond and Tamera-they were still hoping for 

a great-grandchild. 

If they really wanted a great-grandchild soon, then her divorce 

from Ellsworth should be put on the agenda. 

Hearing Harriet’s suggestion, Ellsworth looked up at her and 

said lazily, “Harriet, when you look at me, can’t you think of 

anything besides divorce?” 

With Ellsworth saying that, Harriet realized she had indeed 

brought it up several times lately, as if she were rushing him. 

She lowered her eyes, withdrew her gaze from him, and didn’t 

mention it again.

She sat on the bed like him, flipping through her book. 

When she started to feel sleepy, Harriet put down her book, 

glanced at him, and reminded him, “It’s getting late. You should 

rest early too.” 

After saying that, she couldn’t help but add, “Try to find some 

time to handle the paperwork soon. Once it’s done, I won’t bring 

it up again, and no one will nag you about it anymore.” 

After speaking calmly, as Harriet closed her eyes, she saw 

Ellsworth looking down at her. 

She pulled the thin blanket over herself and said nothing more. 

But she couldn’t help but wonder-regarding the Galaxy Innovations partnership, would Ellsworth give up Rushtar Group to continue, or would he stick with Kelsey through thick and 

thin? 

Beside her, hearing Harriet’s reminder, Ellsworth looked down at her. If it weren’t so late and she hadn’t already lain down, he really would have wanted to pull her up and ask what she 

thought about every day. 

He stared at Harriet for a while without moving. In the end, he didn’t call her up. He used the remote to turn off the main light

her office, Kathie called. 

She said she was back from her business trip and asked Harriet 

to have dinner together later. 

Harriet had missed her so much lately, and had so much to say 

to her, that she agreed immediately. 

When it was time to get off work, she didn’t stay late, packed 

up, and left. 

As soon as she reached the building entrance, Kathie’s car was 

already waiting downstairs. Harriet opened the passenger door 

and got in with a big smile.
