Latoya was undoubtedly the most envied and, at the same time, the most hated person in the entire mall 

Now, with the sponsor and the rich woman walking hand in hand, gossip was already swirling, and the whispers had already begun. 

Christopher led Rosalind upstairs to the women’s clothing section. 

It was clear he was holding something in. He picked up everything he liked and had the staff pack it in Rosalind’s 

size. 

The staff kindly reminded him, “You could try them on first to see how they look.” 

Christopher waved it off.“No time to try. If they don’t look good, I’ll just donate them.” 

The staff fell silent, quietly packing up the clothes. 

They returned home, arms full of bags, only to find a familiar car parked outside. 

Christopher’s face immediately tightened. 

Walking into the living room, his parents were there. 

Liza had already made tea for them, but both of them looked upset. 

Rosalind knew this scenario all too well; it wasn’t the first time. 

Sure enough, Tristan, Christopher’s father, was the first to speak. “Why are you two so late coming home?” 

Christopher, still holding Rosalind’s hand, stepped slightly in front of her.“We went shopping for clothes, Dad. What’s going on with you two?” 

Tristan slammed his hand on the table.“If I hadn’t come, my precious grandchild would’ve been lost.” 

Christopher looked confused.“What grandchild?” 

Rosalind had never been eager to have children, at least not so soon. 

But her in–laws were relentless, putting pressure on Christopher every other week. 

Christopher sighed. “Rosa and I are still young. We want to enjoy a few years just the two of us. We’re t hurry for kids…” 

“You may not be in a hurry, but the child is,” Tristan snapped, grabbing a piece of paper from the table and tos it in front of Christopher.“Take a look.” 

Christopher picked it up from the floor and saw it was a medical report. 

More specifically, it was a pregnancy test. 

The result showed: embryo viable, 4 weeks. 

The name at the top: Latoya Middleton. 

Cornelia stood up, her anger spilling over.“Son, you’re really clueless. Why don’t you want the baby? Are you t to leave the Foret family without an heir?”

Chapter 24 

Christopher, growing frustrated, said, “We never said we didn’t want children, it far we wanted to wast shee longer 

“So, this child Ms. Middleton is carrying is from the Foret family, right? 

Christopher stuttered, unable to respond. 

He turned to Rosalind.“I didn’t…” 

Cornelia cut him off.“Well. We’ve already brought Ms. Middleton back to the Forer’s villa to care for her. As for you, Christopher, a child can’t grow up without a father. Do what you must.” 

With that, Tristan and Cornelia left. 

The silence in the large living room was deafening. 

Liza, who had overheard the entire conversation, had no choice but to stay quiet. 

Rosalind, seeing her standing there, told her to go rest. 

Liza hesitated.“So, should you take the soup now?” 

The soup had originally been prepared for their “baby–making” plans. 

Now that Christopher had a child on the way with someone else, the question of whether to keep making the sou became a tricky one. 

Christopher muttered, “Yes.” 

Rosalind replied, “I ate too much with Eloise at lunch, so I’m not hungry for dinner. Just make the soup for him.” 

Rosalind went upstairs and into their master bedroom. 

She took out her important documents from the drawer and placed them under the mattress. 

She didn’t want Christopher to confiscate them before they could proceed with the divorce. 

Hearing his hurried footsteps upstairs, she decided to just wait by the window. 

He burst through the door but froze. 

“Rosa.” 

“Well,” Rosalind replied calmly.“Let’s get a divorce. I’m serious.” 

Christopher immediately shook his head. “No…” 

Rosalind looked him straight in the eyes.“That child needs a father.”
