Chapter 16

Gigi’s eyes widened as realization struck, and she whipped around to look at the Carsons. “I heard that the Carsons are the wealthiest family in the world, Dad, Mom.”
Anthony, Julia, and Wesley exchanged a glance, eyes brimming with affection.
In the end, Wesley gently ruffled her hair and dotingly said, “We didn’t mean to keep it from
you,
Gigi. It’s just that the Carson name draws a lot of attention.
“You may have saved us back then, but we didn’t know who you were, so we couldn’t tell you the truth. Your guess was spot-on. We are the richest family on the planet.”
Gigi was too shocked to speak. She never imagined the people she happened to help would turn out to be big shots.
She instinctively backed away. “I honestly didn’t know you were someone important when I rescued you, Mr. and Mrs. Carson.
“If I knew the truth back then, I wouldn’t have dared to say yes to becoming part of the family. Anyway, you’re home safe now, so I’ll take my leave.”
The words had barely left her mouth when she tried to walk away, but before she could take another step, Wesley grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his arms. “We need you now more than ever, Gigi. Don’t you think it’s a bit unfair to leave just like that?”
Anthony and Julia quickly caught up to Gigi. “That’s right, Gigi. No matter who we are, we’ll always see you as our daughter. If anything, we’ll only cherish you more from now on.”
Gigi froze for a second. “I just feel like I don’t deserve it.”
Deep down, she believed she wasn’t worthy of such amazing parents or such a loving home.
Hearing that, Anthony, Julia, and Wesley went quiet. The truth of Gigi’s past was still fresh in
their minds.
Wesley took a deep breath and gently said, “You’re truly special, Gigi. You have to believe – you deserve nothing less than the best.”
Gigi muttered, “Do I really deserve that?”
They all nodded firmly.
Tears welled up in her eyes. “Alright. I’ll stay.”
Life with the Carsons felt like a fairytale. Gigi was surrounded by nothing but warmth and love.
Anthony and Julia doted on her endlessly. Every morning, they prepared her favorite

breakfast, and the tables were laid out with all kinds of pastries and fresh fruit.

Julia would gently check in on her sleep and carefully choose her clothes each day based on what she liked. Wesley was always by her side, guiding her through every corner of the castle.
As they strolled through the blooming garden, Wesley plucked a rose and, after stripping the thorns, gently tucked it into Gigi’s hair, his gaze filled with adoration.
Sometimes, he would take her to the private theater inside the castle, playing her favorite movies as they cuddled together on the couch, sharing laughter and thoughts between scenes.
When Gigi expressed her desire to keep painting, the Carson family gave her their full support.
Anthony had a spacious, sunlit studio built just for her. It was stocked with top-of-the-line art supplies and high-quality paints.
Julia went out of her way to collect famous artworks for her to learn from and hired renowned
art teachers to mentor her.
Wesley often spent quiet, peaceful afternoons with her in the studio. He silently admired the way she lost herself in her art, his eyes full of growing affection.
The Carson family also regularly hosted banquets, inviting the top brass from every industry. Each time they hosted an event, they proudly introduced Gigi to the guests, treating her like the princess of the Carson family.
As she got used to the spotlight, she gradually grew more confident and outgoing, her beauty and talent shining bright for all to see. Wesley always kept her arm tucked in his, giving her a deep sense of comfort and security.
When Gigi wasn’t feeling well, the Carsons cared for her with unwavering devotion.
Anthony immediately reached out to the world’s top medical team for an extensive
examination and treatment plan. Meanwhile, Julia made hearty chicken soup and gently fed it
to her.
Wesley remained at her bedside around the clock, keeping an eye on her condition. His eyes were filled with worry and heartbreak.
With Anthony, Julia, and Wesley always loving Gigi the way they did, she left her old self behind. She wasn’t that scared little doormat anymore. Instead, she became a bright, confident young woman engulfed in love.
