Chapter 10 – Arrival & Planning 

The jet finally landed at Heathrow International Airport and I got out with my trusted assistant, 

Ginny. 

‘Welcome to London, Miss,” she said to me with a smile. 

nodded, “Don’t get too comfy, Ginny, we aren’t staying for long. We still have unfinishe business in New York.” 

The limousine picked us up at the arrival terminals and drove us to my family’s house in London When we arrived at the house I let out a small sigh as I looked around the vacation house. 

t was one of our vacation houses in the country where I normally come with my parents. I could emember our last vacation here, which was four years ago before I got married.

She disappeared and I went upstairs to the bedroom I used to stay in whenever we arrived here. All the old dresses had been replaced with newer designs. I stared at the single dress in my wardrobe and smiled. 

It was a beautiful pink dress I had designed for my mother for her birthday which was supposed 

to be in two months. 

They took her away from me and now she’s never going to wear the outfit. 

There was a quiet knock just as Ginny poked her head in. 

“I have something for you, Miss,” she said.

She came inside and presented two urns. A frown formed on my lips as I stared at them. 

What is this?” I queried. 

I was able to secure some of your mother’s ashes and this one is your father’s ashes,” she 

answered. 

The frown disappeared as grateful tears filled my eyes. I took the urns from her. 

Thank you so much, Ginny,” I cried. 

I know how much you loved them, Miss, and I’m sure they loved you just as much,” she said. 

nodded as she left. I hugged the urns for a while before I went outside and went to the garden.

When the car pulled up in a huge building I stepped out of the car with Ginny following me losely. 

Do you have an appointment?” the secretary asked us by the door. 

Ginny nodded and rattled off a fake name to her which she confirmed was booked and then let is in. Before I could open the door Ginny stopped me. 

Are you sure about this, Miss?” she asked me. 

nodded, “This is the best person I can get, Ginny. Don’t worry, I’ll be fine.” 

opened the door and stepped inside to see the man buried in front of his computer, a mountain of files in front of him. 

‘Just give me a moment,” he said without looking up. 

“I don’t have a moment, Damon Cross, a man like you knows that time is priceless,” I said. 

He lifted his face immediately and his eyes met mine widening in shock. 

“What are you doing in my office, Kira Reeds?” he asked me. 

“It’s Kira Maple now and I need your help,” I answered. 

He laughed, “Why should I help you? And why are you coming to me for help?”

“Because I want to destroy Donald Reeds and everyone who supports him,” I said. 

Damon laughed, “So it’s true then. But why would I help you destroy my baby brother?” 

I grinned, “We both know it’s your deepest desire, you want to ruin the Reeds’ family and now we share the same goal. Help me and we can ruin them!”
