Chapter 125 Chloe Strikes at Sonya 

Sonya’s expression shifted, but she quickly masked it with a composed smile. 

“You should be glad I didn’t step in to rescue them. If I had, it would have meant something happened to you. Didn’t you know my helicopter was following you that day? When I saw you bring them back safely, I was so relieved. I was genuinely afraid something might go wrong.” 

“Is that so?” Chloe raised an eyebrow, feigning understanding. “So the helicopter hovering behind me that day was yours? I thought your flying skills were so terrible that you couldn’t handle the winds on the island and didn’t dare get closer.” 

Sonya’s face flushed with anger at the sharp remark. 

“Chloe, why would you say that? Sonya was just observing the situation. If you hadn’t been able to save them, she would’ve flown over and stepped in,” Curtis said, stepping in to defend Sonya. 

Chloe let out a cold laugh. “Really? If you want to believe her, go ahead.” 

“Alright, we’re about to start recording,” the host said with a smile, offering a gentle reminder. 

Brian turned to Chloe. “I’ll head over to the audience seats now.” 

“Okay,” Chloe replied. 

Brian walked toward the audience, with Curtis following close behind. 

The guests who’d come for the interview took their seats. After a brief introduction, the host said, “Today, both of our rescue pilots have brought someone along. Could you tell us who these two gentlemen are?” 

As the host spoke, the cameras immediately shifted to Brian and Curtis, who were seated in the front row 

of the audience. 

The host’s main goal was to naturally bring the spotlight onto Brian. Curtis was just a bonus. 

On the studio’s large screen, a live shot of the two men appeared, with Brian clearly at the center of 

attention.

Though most of the audience didn’t recognize him, his striking features were enough to draw their 

attention. 

“He’s my boyfriend,” Chloe said generously. 

At her words, Brian’s eyes lit up, and a smile spread across his face. He understood that the public acknowledgment confirmed that he had a place in her life at last. 

The host was astonished. He looked at Brian’s smile and instantly knew it was true. 

Just like that, a major scoop was revealed on the talk show as the two publicly confirmed their relationship on air.

“How did you two meet, and what led to your relationship? Could you tell us about that?” 

Chloe replied, “This interview isn’t about my personal life. I don’t think that’s an appropriate topic for discussion.” 

The host then turned to Sonya. “Ms. Miller, is the man who came with you today a friend of yours?” 

“He’s the founder and CEO of Green Tech and my fiance, Curtis!” Sonya introduced him with clear pride. 

So what if Chloe’s boyfriend was Brian? 

A boyfriend–girlfriend relationship could end at any moment, but being a fiance was different. That word 

carried weight. It meant an engagement, a bond that couldn’t be broken so easily. 

Her words hit Curtis like a lightning bolt. 

The cameras immediately caught the sudden shift in his expression. 

“So, Ms. Miller, you’ve brought your fiance with you today. I hear he even joined you on the helicopter for 

the rescue mission. He must care for you deeply to have worried so much and accompanied you on that 

flight,” the host said. 

“Yes, Curtis loves me very much,” Sonya replied, glancing at Curtis.in the audience. “Isn’t that right, Curtis?” 

Curtis‘ mind was in complete turmoil. 

Sonya had insisted that he come today, and he’d assumed the interview had nothing to do with him. He’d never expected her to announce that they were engaged on live television! 

Even though he considered their relationship well established, he hadn’t planned to reveal it so soon–and 

especially not as an engagement. 

If he confirmed it now, people would inevitably start asking about their wedding plans. 

Rushing into another marriage so soon after his divorce would only draw criticism and tarnish his 

reputation. 

Besides, he’d been questioning his own feelings lately. Did he truly love Sonya? 

If he did, why didn’t her presence make him happy? Instead, he’d always been left with a lingering sense 

of emptiness. 

Now, facing the cameras and Sonya’s hopeful gaze, he could do nothing but force a smile. “Yes, I love you 

very much.” 

Sonya smiled with satisfaction. In front of all these people, Curtis had effectively acknowledged their 

engagement. 

Once the show aired, the entire country would know, leaving him no choice but to marry her quickly.

“Can I ask both of you to describe what went through your minds when you learned people were trapped and needed to be rescued? Did the danger involved in the mission give you any hesitation?” 

“How could we hesitate?” Sonya chimed in immediately. “When someone’s life is at risk and you have the ability to help, it’s your duty to act!” 

Her words, full of conviction, drew warm applause from the audience. 

The host looked at Sonya with admiration. “From what I understand, Ms. Miller is not only a captain at AeroQuest Airlines but also a hero who fought the fire five years ago, participating in a daring fire rescue mission at Cloudrion. Let’s give a big round of applause for our hero!” 

Rounds of applause erupted once again, and Sonya basked in the moment. 

The host then turned to Chloe. “And you, Ms. Quall, what were you thinking at the time?” 

“Me?” Chloe replied calmly. “I just thought lives were at stake. She was using the trapped people as leverage to threaten me, and since she wasn’t the only one who could fly the plane, I figured I’d just take the helicopter myself and rescue them.” 

“What?” The host was immediately stunned. 

Sonya leapt to her feet, her face flushed with fury. “You’re slandering me! That’s a malicious lie!” 

Chloe shot her a cold, steady look and pulled out her phone. 

Almost instantly, an audio recording began to play throughout the studio.
