1 Chapter 1
They had been expecting a scene, a repeat of the hysterical girl from four years ago.
He never knew I traded my body to the rival gang to save his life.
And the recent commotion had only whetted their appetite for drama.
“Lucia. Kneel and apologize.”
I loomed over them.
I was no longer the girl from four years ago, the one they could break at will.
The Corleone family’s estate was ablaze with light.
Trash?
“Lucia, how.could you push me?”
The shots to his legs nearly left him a cripple.

But that all changed the day Carmela returned from Italy.
Noticing Rocco’s attention was still fixed on me, Carmela spoke up, her voice trembling.
So Rocco helped Carmela to her feet and turned his cold glare on me.

Thinking I was about to strike again, Rocco quickly shielded Carmela.
“Who let the trash in?” His gaze cuts to me.
At her words, Rocco’s irritation sharpened.
“Rocco, my stomach… it hurts so much. Lucia… I think she’s here to hurt our baby.”
That same year, he forced an abortion, shattered my family, and did it all just to make his
childhood sweetheart laugh.
“There isn’t a soul in this room who would dare say I don’t belong.”
He walks in with her on his arm, her belly swollen with his child.
Rocco gently scooped Carmela into his arms.
“Rocco, I can’t believe it. After four years, Lucia still won’t let me go.”

But the moment Rocco spoke, the glittering room fell deathly silent.
Four years ago, Rocco Corleone took a bullet for me.
“You poisonous bitch, I knew you were up to no good coming here today!”
If she was trying to harm Carmela, it meant she still cared.
Rocco was too absorbed in comforting her to notice I had already closed the distance
between us.
“What gives you the right to be here?”
Seeing that I didn’t respond, he dropped Carmela’s hand.
As we passed Carmela, she let out a sharp cry-“Ouch!“-and stumbled dramatically.
So, from the moment Rocco appeared with a pregnant Carmela on his arm, they had all
been expecting a show.
I scanned the faces of everyone present.
Funny thing is, he should be calling me Donna Lucia.
For me, he’d taken bullets during a shootout in Brooklyn, leaving him with two shattered
legs and the threat of never walking again.
Now, we’re at the family dinner.
It was the simple truth.
Of course.
Her arrival twisted the love Rocco and I shared into a mockery.
But Rocco saw it as a provocation.
Hearing Carmela’s words, a mix of expressions flickered across the faces in the room.
He drew his pistol, the cold steel of the muzzle pressing against my forehead.
However, I merely glanced down at them, then impassively stepped around their pathetic display. I returned to my seat and picked up my glass of red wine.
And I, in turn, had given him everything I had.
His pace was relentless, his grip tight enough to shatter bone.
“What more do you want?”

1 Chapter 1
Every eye in the room was fixed on us.
Everyone knew I was the apple of his eye, his obsession.
Rocco’s concern was instant and volatile.
“When I say you don’t belong, you don’t belong.”
My composure shocked everyone.
He strode toward me, his hand clamping around my wrist as he started dragging me
toward the door.
She collapsed against him, her sobs echoing in the silence.
Why had I changed?
“What the hell gives you the right to set foot in the Corleone manor?”
It turned me into a complete joke.
Seeing me sitting there, poised and serene, Rocco felt a surge of irritation.
After all, I had once been madly in love with Rocco Corleone.
What right? I had every right.
But since she had hurt Carmela and their unborn child, he had to defend them.
Before I could answer, my phone vibrated with a new message.
He shoved me hard, sending me stumbling away like a piece of trash.
This was all an act—just another one of her games.
